CUET UG 2024 registration link will be available online at cuet.samarth.ac.in. The link to fill the online CUET UG 2024 application form will be available by February 2024 end.

The percentile for each candidate is determined by comparing their raw marks with those of others in the same session. This process is repeated across multiple days for the same subject. These percentiles are then standardized and transformed into normalised marks. Sessions with fewer candidates are combined with larger sessions for this calculation. CUET UG normalisation process is implemented to create fairness among candidates who appeared for exam in different sessions.

As per previous year statistics, subjects like English, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry received maximum number of registrations. It is anticipated that these subject examination will receive the same numbers this year and the exam will be held in offline mode.

CUET UG 2024 exam will be held in hybrid mode. Subjects receiving more than 1.5 lakh registrations will be conducted in offline mode. Also for areas like Kashmir, Jharkhand, and some places in the Northeast the exam will be conducted in offline mode. Whereas, subjects receiving less than 1.5 lakh registrations will be held in computer based mode.

CUET UG 2024 registrations will commence by February end. Candidates will be able to fill the CUET UG 2024 application form online at cuet.samarth.ac.in.

According to the CUET UG 2024 eligibility criteria, there is no age requirement to take the entrance exam. However, candidates must ensure they have passed the 12th-grade board examination from a recognised board.

Change in Exam Mode

CUET UG 2024 will be held in hybrid mode, i.e., subjects having more than 1.5 lakh applicants will be held in OMR format (Pen paper mode). For subjects receiving less than 1.5 lakh registrations will be held in computer-based mode. As per the reports, authorities said, “Some papers with large count (CUET UG 2024 registrations) and for areas like Kashmir, Jharkhand, and some places in the Northeast the paper will be conducted in pen paper mode. It will be like the medical entrance test (NEET UG)”

Exam in single Shift; No normalization Process

Most papers for CUET UG will be held in a single shift thus removing the normalization process which is required for subject exams held in multiple sessions. Subjects which are likely to be held in pen paper mode are English, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as they received a large number of registrations the previous year.

Subject Choice Reduced

NTA has also reduced the CUET subject choice to six, which includes two languages, three domain subjects and General Test. Until last year, candidates had the option to choose from 10 subjects.

In CUET UG 2024, candidates will be permitted to take up to six subjects of their choice which would include three domain subjects, two languages and general test.

Candidates can modify their chosen test city before submitting the form and during the CUET UG 2024 online form correction period. However, once this period ends, no further requests to change the test city will be entertained.

Candidates are allowed to pick up to 2 cities from the list of test cities where they'd like to have their CUET 2024 exam centre. It's important for applicants to choose these cities in order of preference because the exam authorities will try their best to assign a test center in the city that's their first choice.

To be eligible for the CUET exam, candidates must have completed one of the following:

• Passed the final examination of the 10+2 system from a recognized Central/ State Board.
• Cleared the Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination from a recognized Board/ University.
• Completed the final examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy.
• Passed the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with a minimum of five subjects.
• Attained an equivalent qualification recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), such as any Public School/ Board/ University examination in India or abroad.
• Completed the Higher Secondary Certificate Vocational Examination.
• Attained a Diploma recognized by AICTE or a State board of technical education of at least 3 years duration.
• Passed the General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
• Cleared the High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.
• For candidates who completed the Class 12 (or equivalent) examination outside India or from a Board not specified above, they must provide a certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) confirming equivalence to the Class 12 Examination.
• If the Class 12 Examination was not a public examination, the candidate must have passed at least one public (Board or Pre-University) examination earlier.

There's no age restriction for taking the CUET (UG) - 2024. However, candidates must have passed their Class 12 or equivalent examination. Those currently in the process of appearing for their Class 12 exam are also eligible to take the CUET UG exam.

CUET 2024 will have three shifts per day, depending on the subjects and courses chosen by the candidates. Each candidate can select up to six subjects for the exam.

In the CUET application form, candidates need to choose two preferred language options. Once submitted, this choice cannot be changed. Therefore, candidates should be careful when selecting their exam language.

Practicing CUET mock tests is crucial for exam readiness, and candidates should aim to complete a substantial number of them. Engaging in this practice is essential because it aids in enhancing both speed and accuracy when tackling questions.

Previous year, total number of students who registered for CUET UG last year was 13.95 lakh. Out of which, 6.51 lakh were female candidates, and 7.48 lakh were male candidates.

After the CUET UG 2024 results are announced, students who took the exam might need to fill out registration forms for the universities they applied to. Universities like Delhi University, Banaras Hindu University, and TISS release counseling forms for the admission process.

Colleges that accept CUET UG scores will not consider admission solely based on class 12th board marks. Candidates must take the CUET examination to secure admission into esteemed central universities and other participating universities across India.

The CUET UG 2024 exam is scheduled to take place in a hybrid format. Students will be able to take the CUET UG exam online. Candidates will be permitted to bring only a pen or paper for the OMR format test.

The NTA has established the marking scheme for the CUET UG 2024 exam as follows:

• Candidates will receive five marks for each correct or most appropriate answer.
• A deduction of one mark will be made for each incorrect answer.
• Candidates who do not answer a question or mark it for review will not receive any marks.
• In instances where multiple answers are correct, five marks will be awarded to individuals who selected any of the correct answers.
• If all options for a question are correct, all candidates who attempted the question will receive five marks.
• In the event of an incorrect question, a dropped question, or if none of the options are correct, five marks will be awarded to all candidates who attempted that question.

UGC has announced a change: now, students can choose from six subjects instead of ten. This includes two language options, three domain subjects, and a General Test.
