NTA has released the CUET UG 2024 answer key, however, candidates have raised concerns over the errors found in answer key. NTA has notified that it will address the grievances and will conduct CUET UG 2024 re-test if required.
On July 7, the National Testing Agency (NTA) released the answer key for the CUET UG 2024 exam. However, students have taken to social media to report significant discrepancies and errors in the answers provided. Candidates will be able to challenge the CUET provisional answer key 2024 till July 09 (5 PM). For every challenge, the candidate has to pay a fee of INR 200.
CUET Provisional Answer Key 2024: Student Reaction
One student, after checking their Geography OMR sheet against the released answer key, expressed shock and frustration: "I am shocked because 80% of the answer key was wrong. When I calculated the number with the wrong answer key that NTA provides, I only got 26 but in reality, I will get 122. Where my 17 questions are correct."
Another student highlighted issues beyond just incorrect answers, pointing out that the exam included questions out of the syllabus: "In CUET UG exam 2024 there were various questions which were out of syllabus. Those questions in the answer key should be corrected. As well as in some questions all the options were correct so those questions should be dropped. In English exam there was a lot of issues."
Concerns were also raised about the Psychology exam: "CUET UG answer key released today are not up to the mark. Answers given in psychology are wrong. And there are many other courses with the same problem. I request NTA to please release the right answer key."
CUET 2024 Answer Key Concers: NTA Response
As NTA releases CUET provisional answer key, students, teachers allege inaccuracies, saying that many questions have wrong answers marked as correct, as per the NCERT syllabus. Meanwhile, the NTA in a notification has said that if a challenge by a candidate is found correct, the answer will be revised in the final answer key."
The NTA has announced that they will conduct a retest if the grievances raised by students are found to be valid. This move aims to ensure that students are evaluated fairly and accurately. As students await further action from the NTA, the conversation continues on social media, with many calling for a thorough review and correction of the answer key to ensure justice for all test-takers.
