Delhi University (DU) will begin admission to undergraduate programmes from mid-May, as reported by The Indian Express. Students willing to know the DU UG admission process 2024 must know that qualifying CUET UG exam is the criteria to get into Delhi University. However, for admission in the School of Open Learning (SOL), Foreign Nationals or Non-Collegiate Women Education Board (NCWEB), appearing in CUET UG is not mandatory.
Along with admission to undergraduate programmes, Delhi University will begin the admission process for three BTech programmes and two five-year integrated programmes. The admission to BTech programme will be based on JEE Main scores while admission to BA LLB programme will be based on Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) scores.
DU UG Admission Guidelines 2024
Students must adhere to the following guidelines to ensure no discrepancies arise during the DU UG admission process:
- A student having valid CUET UG scores and willing to get admission in Delhi University has to visit the official website du.ac.in and apply for admission to their desired programme.
- A student willing to get admission to Delhi University UG courses shall have qualified class 12 from a recognised board of education from a single recognised board.
- In case the subject studied at Class 12 is not mentioned in the CUET (UG) - 2024, the candidate must appear in the Language/Domain Specific subject that is similar/closely related to the subject studied at Class 12.
- A gap year will not be a bar for the purpose of admission to undergraduate programs. However,
- such candidates must also appear in CUET UG 2024 for admissions in the academic year 2024- 25.
DU UG Admission Process 2024
Those students who will qualify the CUET UG 2024 exam will have to register on Delhi University's Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS). CSAS is a seat allocation process through which Delhi University offers admission to deserving students. The CSAS is conducted in multiple rounds and a round-wise seat allocation list is made available on the CSAS portal.
Next, students have to submit their desired college and course preferences in order of their priority. Students further will have to participate in the seat allocation process where they have to accept, freeze or reject the allotted seats to them. Finally, if the student is satisfied with the seat, they can pay the enrollment fees and confirm their seat.
