IISc Bangalore invites applications for SPARC Workshop

The last date to apply for the workshop is February 23, 2024.

The course fee for students is INR 4000 plus 18% GST, for faculty members, it is INR 8000 plus 18% GST, and for industry it is INR 15000 plus 18% GST.

The workshop will have presentations and aims to have engaging discussions in the areas such as robustness and resilience of structures, notions of risk and a probabilistic framework addressing quesionts of risk, sensing technologies, engineering sustainable composite materials to offer resilience in the structure against hazards such as mechanical loads, fire, blast and earthquakes, exploring repair and retrofitting structures to offer resilience against various loads.

The presentations will be made by expert faculty members from Indian Institute of Technology (IITs), Indian Institute of Science (IISc), some industry experts, and professional educators from universities abroad viz. The University of British Columbia and University of Alberta (Canada), and Michigan State University (USA).

The Institute of Science is also recruiting Assistant Registrar for which the candidate should have postgraduate degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent with excellent Academic record. 8 Years of Supervisory experience in the relevant field in Govt./Semi-Govt./Public Sector/Autonomous organization or Educational Institution of higher learning. Of the 8 years, 5 years’ experience should be in PB2+ GP 4600 (Level-7 as per 7 CPC) or its equivalent grade is also required.
