IISER Admissions 2023 Second Round of Counselling Ends on July 20; Know Important Steps

IISER 2023 Entrance Exam Second Round of Counselling process is underway. Candidates should log in to their account on the portal iiseradmission.in to see if they have received an offer. IISER 2023 Admissions Counselling Updates: Candidates getting enrolled in the BS-MS dual degree programmes offered by various IISER Institutes, need to participate in the counselling rounds provided by the examination conducting body. The second round of IISER 2023 Counselling process started on July 18, 2023. Candidates are requested to visit the official website i.e, iiseradmission.in to check whether they have received any offer of seat by IISERs (The IISER preferences which candidates had earlier frozen). The offer letter that the candidates are getting is purely based on the merit list scores that they have achieved in the IAT 2023 examination. The late date to accept the seat offered by the respective IISER is July 14, 2023.

IISER 2023 Counselling: Process to Confirm the Seat Acceptance

To confirm the Seat Acceptance for a particular course and IISER preference, you can follow the below steps:

1. Log in to the IISER account on the official website.

2. Click on Decision Making Form.

3. To check your Allotted Seat, click on “Click Here to view Allotted Seat”

4. On clicking, a new tab will be opened with allotment details.

5. To take any action, click on Generate OTP.

6. For Preference 1, only the “Accept and Freeze” button will be shown 

7. For Preference other than 1, there will be “Accept and Freeze” and “Accept and Float” options.

8. To confirm the seat, you need to select one option and process for Payment. Post payment, Fees details will be updated.

IISER 2023 Admissions Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF)

• Seat Acceptance Fee is to be paid only after an offer of admission has been made to the candidate. The SAF will have to be paid as per the category entered by the candidate in the application.
• INR 35,000/- (INR 25,000/- + INR 10,000/- (Non refundable administrative fee)) for General/EWS/OBC-NCL categories
• INR 17,500/- (INR 12,500/- + INR 5000/- (Non refundable administrative fee)) for SC/ST categories.
• Failure to deposit the SAF within the stipulated time will result in the cancellation of the offer. Furthermore, you will not be considered in any subsequent rounds of seat allotment during admission 2023.

The candidates who chose "Accept and Float" in Round 1 MUST take action on the IISER Preference offered to them in Round 2. They must check the IISER Preference offered to them in Round 2 and specify if they choose to "Accept and Float" or would like to "Accept and Freeze". They should do this even if they have been offered the same IISER Preference in Round 2 as it was in Round 1 (that is, their IISER Preference has remained the same between Round 1 and Round 2).
Candidates who chose "Accept and Float" in Round 1 but FAIL to take action on the IISER Preference offered to them in Round 2 (i.e. they do not choose "Accept and Float" or "Accept and Freeze" in Round 2), will NOT be able to participate in subsequent rounds of counselling. Their candidature will be considered as having been WITHDRAWN. They will be eliminated from the counselling process and will not be able to get back into the counselling process.
