IIT Guwahati released the scorecards of the Joint Admissions Test (JAM) 2023 on April 3. The Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IITG) will conclude registrations for Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM 2023) counselling process today, April 25, 2023. Candidates who have qualified for the examination and also meet all the eligibility criteria set by the participating universities can apply for admission to IITs, and NITs for the academic session 2023. IIT JAM 2023 Online admission portal will be closing on April 25, 2023.
There will be four rounds of admission, in the normal case. If seats remain vacant, additional rounds may be conducted. Applicants receiving an offer in any of the rounds are required to login at the official website within the stipulated time and choose one of the three options viz. (a) Accept and Freeze (b) Accept with Upgrade (c) Reject and Quit. Based on the order of preferences given by the candidate in the Admission Form and corresponding rank(s) in the Merit List, the First Admission List will be prepared on or before June 01, 2023.

IIT JAM Admission 2023 Documents Required
On the basis of candidate’s rank, the admission will be offered to the students. Students must bring their complete documents as informed by the authority for the document verification process.
Some of the documents are mentioned below which will be required during counselling –
- Aadhar Card or First Page of Passport or Birth Certificate or Voter ID Card
- Class 10 (SSC) certificate
- Class 12 (HSC) marksheet
- Marksheet of all the years/semesters of the qualifying degree
- Declaration form duly filled in
- Degree certificate, if available
- Caste certificate, if available
- PwD Certificate in the specified format, if applicable.
Joint Admission Test for MSc is an all-India level online entrance exam conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) every year on a rotational basis on behalf of the Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), Government of India. IIT JAM is conducted to provide admission to candidates in MSc and other postgraduate courses offered at IITs and integrated PhD courses offered by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore. Several National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs) also accept JAM scores for MSc admissions.
