Jamia Millia Islamia's Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) has launched its Biannual Newsletter and prospectus for the session 2024-25 along with the release of an official YouTube channel in the conference room of the centre. JMI Officiating Vice-Chancellor Prof. Mohammad Shakeel released the Biannual Newsletter along with the JMI CDOE prospectus 2024-25 with assistance from Prof. Mohammad Miyan during the event.
‘The CDOE post,’ ‘CDOE Prospectus 2024-2025’, and the CDOE official YouTube Channel ‘CDOE JMI OFFICIAL’ were released on July 23, 2024, in the conference room of the CDOE.
Prof. Jasim Ahmed, Director of CDOE expressed his gratitude for the inauguration and specified that more than 17,000 students and offers 24 programmes are currently offered through the distance mode. Along with that, he mentioned the problems faced by the CDOE in due course of time.
Prof. Mohammad Shakeel, Officiating Vice-Chancellor of JMI emphasized the significance of taking appropriate actions to deprive malpractices in examinations. Prof. Shakeel said that enhancing examination severity would produce capable students and improve the centre's prominence. He also reflected on his term as Director of the CDOE when he appointed a Learning Support Centre and introduced the OMR system for BEd entrance examinations in CDOE.
