JEST 2023 Examination has been postponed and the examination is scheduled to be held on Sunday, March 26, 2023, from 10 AM to 1 PM. Earlier JEST 2023 was scheduled to be conducted on March 11, 2023. The revised schedule of the JEST 2023 examination has been updated on the official website at https://www.jest.org.in/joint-entrance-screening-test. JEST 2023 Admit Card is expected to be released in the third week of March. If the applicant would like to make corrections to the application form, they are requested to email to jest2023@iiserb.ac.in up to 6th March 2023. As per the exam pattern for JEST 2023, it is expected that the paper will consist of 50 questions. The test paper comprises multiple-choice questions and the paper will be divided into three parts. In the JEST exam, candidates are evaluated out of 100 marks.

JEST is conducted jointly by several premier institutes such as IISc, IISERs, NISER, etc. JEST is a screening test for admission to PhD and Int. PhD programme of different participating institutes (see the list from JEST home page) in Physics or Theoretical Computer Science, Neuroscience or Computational Biology. The JEST examination is conducted for two subjects only, namely, physics and theoretical computer science. However, the qualifications for admission to the PhD and Int. PhD programme in various participating institutes are different.
