A three-day International Conference on Analysis and its Applications is being organized by the Department of Mathematics, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) from January 19 to January 21, 2024.
The program was conducted by Dr. Taqseer Khan, Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics, JMI.
The conference was inaugurated by Prof. Eqbal Hussain, Offg. Vice Chancellor of JMI and Chief Guest of the inaugural function.
During his address, he highlighted the role of Mathematics in the development of science and technology.
The welcome address was delivered by Prof. Shehzad Hasan, HoD, Department of Mathematics, JMI. He highlighted the role of Mathematics in various branches of Science, Engineering and Technology.
Dr. Izhar Uddin, Convener of the conference reported that more than 160 participants joined today and the number will increase in the next two days.
Guests of Honour of the inaugural function Prof. M. Imdad, AMU Aligarh and Prof. E. Malkowsky, State University of Nova, Serbia delivered their thoughts about the conference and the role of Analysis.
Prof. Tabrez Alam Khan, Dean Faculty of Sciences, JMI highlighted the role of Mathematics in day-to-day life. Many distinguished speakers and delegates have joined from India and abroad to make this conference a great success. 6 Plenary speakers and 42 invited speakers will share their ideas during the conference. Around two hundred fifty abstracts have been received for presentation in the 3 days International Conference.
The inaugural function was ended with a vote of thanks by Prof. Arshad Khan. He acknowledged the generous financial support received from NBHM, SERB-DST, CSIR, and INSA. He also said that the Chief Editors of the two journals namely J. Nonlinear and Convex Anal. and Bull. of Math. Anal and Application have agreed to publish a few selected research papers after peer review in Special Volumes. A short film on Viksit Bharat was also screened during the inaugural function.
