Jawaharlal Nehru University has released the report of achievements of the university after the completion of two years since Prof Santishree Dhulipudi Pandit assumed the charge of the Vice Chancellor.

As per the report, the JNU administration has strengthened a positive and conducive academic environment of the university by carrying out its core function of coordinating, streamlining, monitoring, and evaluating the academic development processes in the university. 

The report suggested that domain expertise remains the principal criterion for CAS, Recruitment and clearing backlogs. A total of 143 faculty CAS cases have been completed and promoted. 149 new faculty members were inducted through open recruitment, and towards establishing gender representations, as of February 1, 2024, 31 administrative positions are held by women.

The new academic initiatives since last year include work in progress for the establishment of Special Centres for Odia, Marathi, Gujarati and Kannada languages. The new JNU logo was launched during the 50th court meeting on December 4, 2023. The process to register the new JNU logo has been started. 

The MoUs/AoCs include 32 active MoUs and r04 active AoCs until January 2024. Students and campus achievements include enforcement of a zero-tolerance policy towards violence and gender insensitivity, resumption of in-person classes after three years, construction of a special hostel for northeast students, resumption and expansion of healthcare specialists in the campus, and more such achievements.
