Students Urge NTA to Reschedule CUET UG 2023 Dates Due to Clash with Other Exams
The CUET UG 2023 exam window of May 21 to May 31 is coinciding with several other entrance exams such as BITSAT, APEAPCET, etc. However, it is unlikely that NTA will reschedule or postpone the CUET 2023 exam date at this stage. Still, candidates are advised to contact NTA after the release of the CUET 2023 admit card, in case their exam date is clashing with any other entrance exam, requesting to change the exam date.

Instructions Printed on CUET 2023 Admit Card
The CUET 2023 admit card will carry the following instructions:
- Candidates must reach the CUET UG 2023 exam centre at least an hour in advance. No candidates will be allowed entry 20 minutes prior to the exam time.
- Along with the CUET 2023 admit card, candidates need to bring a valid photo identity card.
- Candidates' recent passport-size photo must be pasted on the CUET 2023 admit card, in the space provided.
- Mobile phones/calculators/watches/books/notebooks or any other personal item will not be allowed inside the exam centre.
- Candidates will not be allowed to leave the exam hall before the test is concluded and without the invigilators' permission.
- Candidates must wear mask throughout the duration spent inside the exam hall.

What After Downloading the CUET 2023 Admit Card
After downloading the CUET 2023 admit card, candidates should follow the steps given below:
- Take a few copies of coloured printout of the CUET UG 2023 admit card
- It is mandatory for the candidate to carry the CUET 2023 admit card to their respective exam centre. Without the hall ticket, the candidate will not be allowed to appear for the entrance exam.
- Candidates are advised to check all the details on the admit card. If there is any form of error, the candidate shall immediately contact the officials to get the details rectified.
- They have to affix their passport and postcard-size photographs in the space provided and should not sign prior to reaching the exam hall. Also, parents are advised to sign on the space provided.
- Along with the admit card, the candidate has to carry one of the valid identity proofs such as Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Driving Licence, Voter ID Card, Passport
- Candidates are also advised to reach the CUET exam centre before the scheduled time.

Syllabus for CUET UG 2023
NTA released the CUET UG 2023 syllabus along with the information bulletin for each subject. The syllabus is the same as the Class 12 syllabus. Unlike the other undergraduate entrance exams like NEET and JEE, where both Class 11 and Class 12 syllabi are included, CUET UG tests candidates' knowledge based on the Class 12 syllabus only.

The marking scheme of the CUET UG 2023 exam is given below.
i. Correct answer or the most appropriate answer: Five marks ( 5)
ii. Any incorrect option marked will be given minus one mark (-1).
iii. Unanswered/Marked for Review will be given no mark (0).
iv. If more than one option is found to be correct then Five marks (5) will be awarded to only

Universities Exempted From Accepting CUET UG 2023 Scores
The Central government has announced that it has decided to extend the exemption of Northeast states including Meghalaya from the admission process into the central universities in specific regions through Common University Entrance Test (CUET) by another year. The list of central universities in Northeastern regions that have been exempted includes Sikkim University, Rajiv Gandhi University, Manipur University, Assam University, Tezpur University, Nagaland University, Tripura University, Mizoram University, NEHU and HNGBU, Uttrakhand.

No Change in CUET UG 2023 Syllabus
Owing to the rationalisation of the NCERT syllabus, a lot of students are in doubt about whether there will be a change in the CUET UG 2023 syllabus or not. To lower candidates' anxieties, now the National Testing Agency (NTA) has clarified that the notified syllabus will remain the same as the exam is not just for students from a particular board. CUET UG 2023 Number of Registrations
This year 16.85 lakh candidates have registered for CUET UG, which is 41 per cent higher than last year. The number of CUET UG 2023 applications, or the number of candidates who paid the application fee is around 14 lakh. Uttar Pradesh is the state with the highest registration followed by Delhi and Bihar. As many as 1,000 candidates have registered from 74 foreign countries. University of Delhi (DU) and Banaras Hindu University (BHU) are the universities which received the highest registrations. However, this number is based on the first phase of the CUET 2023 application. The updated number of applications after the second and final phase are yet to be announced.
