NTA will release the CUET 2023 admit card on different dates for different canddiates. As per the schedule mentioned by the exam authorities, candidates will get their CUET UG 2023 admit card three days prior to their exam date. Hence, the admit card will be available from May 18 onwards.

NTA has not announced the exact number of CUET 2023 exam centres yet. Based on the last year's number, it is estimated that the number of centres will be around 3,500.

Some students have been allotted CUET 2023 city at a faraway area, which was not selected by them. The reason could be the unavailability of candidates of the same subject preference in the cities opted for by them, or the preferred cities have already reached the maximum point of accommodating test-takers. Hence, candidates should plan their exam day commute and other logistics in advance.

In such a scenario, candidates may contact NTA and request to reallot the CUET 2023 exam city.

There is a possibility that such candidates' exam date is scheduled after May 24.

The CUET UG 2023 exam window of May 21 to May 31 is coinciding with several other entrance exams such as BITSAT, APEAPCET, etc. However, it is unlikely that NTA will reschedule or postpone the CUET 2023 exam date at this stage. Still, candidates are advised to contact NTA after the release of the CUET 2023 admit card, in case their exam date is clashing with any other entrance exam, requesting to change the exam date. 

NTA presented the link to access CUET 2023 mock test along with the announcement of the CUET 2023 city slips. However, the link is not functional and is displaying 502 error message. Students took to Twitter to report the matter.

The CUET 2023 admit card will carry the following instructions:

• Candidates must reach the CUET UG 2023 exam centre at least an hour in advance. No candidates will be allowed entry 20 minutes prior to the exam time.
• Along with the CUET 2023 admit card, candidates need to bring a valid photo identity card.
• Candidates' recent passport-size photo must be pasted on the CUET 2023 admit card, in the space provided.
• Mobile phones/calculators/watches/books/notebooks or any other personal item will not be allowed inside the exam centre.
• Candidates will not be allowed to leave the exam hall before the test is concluded and without the invigilators' permission.
• Candidates must wear mask throughout the duration spent inside the exam hall.

After downloading the CUET 2023 admit card, candidates should follow the steps given below:

• Take a few copies of coloured printout of the CUET UG 2023 admit card
• It is mandatory for the candidate to carry the CUET 2023 admit card to their respective exam centre. Without the hall ticket, the candidate will not be allowed to appear for the entrance exam.
• Candidates are advised to check all the details on the admit card. If there is any form of error, the candidate shall immediately contact the officials to get the details rectified.
• They have to affix their passport and postcard-size photographs in the space provided and should not sign prior to reaching the exam hall. Also, parents are advised to sign on the space provided.
• Along with the admit card, the candidate has to carry one of the valid identity proofs such as Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Driving Licence, Voter ID Card, Passport

• Candidates are also advised to reach the CUET exam centre before the scheduled time.

• Fill up the Self Declaration Undertaking

The CUET 2023 admit card will be released by NTA in an online mode. Candidates will have to download the admit card of CUET 2023 by following the steps given below:

• Visit the official website of CUET 2023 - cuet.samarth.ac.in
• Log in using the CUET 2023 username and password
• Click on the tab indicating CUET 2023 admit card
• The admit card or the hall ticket will display on screen
• Download it in PDF format and take multiple printouts

The total duration of the CUET 2023 exam is 195 minutes or 3.25 hours. The duration is fixed for each section of the exam. The following table brings the section-wise duration of the CUET 2023 exam. 

The CUET 2023 admit card will start releasing from this week onwards. Candidates will get their admit card for CUET 2023 three days prior to their exam date. Hence, the CUET UG 2023 admit card will release from May 18 onwards. Candidates who will take the exam on May 21 will get their CUET admit card on May 18. 

NTA released the CUET UG 2023 syllabus along with the information bulletin for each subject. The syllabus is the same as the Class 12 syllabus. Unlike the other undergraduate entrance exams like NEET and JEE, where both Class 11 and Class 12 syllabi are included, CUET UG tests candidates' knowledge based on the Class 12 syllabus only. 

According to NTA, the University of Delhi (DU) is the most preferred university among the CUET 2023 applicants followed by Banaras Hindu University (BHU). Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) and Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) are also among the top picks. 

Uttar Pradesh is the state with the highest registration followed by Delhi and Bihar. As many as 1,000 candidates have registered from 74 foreign countries. 

This year 16.85 lakh candidates have registered for CUET UG, which is 41 per cent higher than last year. However, the total number of applicants is 14,99,788, which is approximately 15 lakh. 

The CUET UG 2023 exam slots and timings for particular exam papers will be announced in the admit card. As per the previous year's data, the slot-wise timings of CUET UG are given below:

NTA has stated for those exam papers with a high number of applications, the exam will be conducted in three slots.

Once the CUET 2023 city slip is released, candidates must save it properly and take a printout for their reference. If the exam city is the same as their city of current residence then they need not take any further decision at the moment and just wait for the admit card. In case the exam city is far from their present location, then they have to make the necessary travel and accommodation arrangements, based on the distance.

NTA has also released the CUET UG 2023 mock tests or practice tests on the official website of the exam. The tests are available for all the subjects/languages/General Test covered under the exam.

The CUET UG 2023 exam will be conducted for admission to various undergraduate programs for about 250 Central, State, Deemed, Private and other participating Universities/Institutions/Organisations for the Academic session 2023-2024. 

In the CUET UG 2023 City Intimation Slip, date, shift of the examination, subjects/Test Papers and medium chosen during the online Application Form, are displayed. Some candidates may have chosen subjects other than those being displayed in the City Intimation Slip, these will be issued subsequently. 

NTA has released the CUET 2023 city slip for exams dated May 21, May 22, May 23 and May 24. City Intimation Slip for the candidates whose examinations are scheduled on other dates will also

CUET UG 2023 exam will be scheduled for 10 days, from May 21 to May 31. 

NTA will release the CUET UG 2023 admit card in the next three days, from May 18 onwards. 

Candidates were waiting since morning to receive the CUET 2023 exam city intimation slip. They finally heaved sigh of relief after downloading the document and finding out their exam city, date, slot and paper.

In the official notification released by NTA, it has been mentioned that approximately 15 lakh candidates have applied for the exam. NTA states, "National Testing Agency is conducting Common University Entrance Test [CUET (UG)] - 2023 from 21 May 2023 onwards at various examination Centres located in different cities across India and abroad in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode for about 14,99,778 candidates."

Once candidates log in to the CUET UG 2023 website, they will have to log in using their application number and password/date of birth. The page will look like the snapshot given below. They will have to click on either tabs indicating CUET UG 2023 Advance Intimation to Exam City Slip to download the document.

NTA has finally released the CUET 2023 exam city slip after 11 PM on May 14. Canddiates will have to download with their application number and date of birth and click on the tab indicating the Advance City Intimation Slip and check the city, exam date, slot and paper. 

Some of the students are also requesting NTA to reopen the CUET 2023 application window or at least give the application correction facility. However, there is hardly any chance that NTA will fulfill these requests as just a week is left for the CUET UF 2023 exam to commence. 

Meanwhile, students are also demanding NTA to postpone the CUET UG 2023 exam citing reasons such as clash with other exams, under-preparedness, last moment release of the exam city slip and admit cards, to name a few. 

NTA will release the CUET UG 2023 admit card from May 18 onwards, three days prior to the exam commencement. Each candidate will get their admit card or hall ticket three days before their exact date of exam. If their exams are scheduled at different dates, they will get the admit cards separately. 

Clarifying the fact that the CUET 2023 exam city intimation slip is not the same as the admit card, UGC Chairman M Jagadesh Kumar has stated, "The Candidates may please note that this is NOT the Admit Card for CUET (UG) - 2023. This is advance information for the allotment of the City where the Examination Centre will be located, to facilitate the candidates. The Admit Card of CUET (UG) – 2023 shall be issued later."

Speaking on the information posted on the CUET 2023 city slip, M Jagadesh Kumar has mentioned, "In the City Intimation Slip, date, shift of examination, subjects/Test Papers, medium chosen in online Application Form, are being displayed. Clarifying on the status of the CUET 2023 exam city slip for the tests scheduled after May 24, the UGC Chairman has stated, "City Intimation Slip for the candidates whose examinations are scheduled on other dates will also be released shortly."

According to the updated schedule for CUET UG 2023 announced by NTA, May 14, or today is the date of releasing the advance intimation of the exam city slip. However, NTA might delay or postpone the release based on various factors such as incomplete exam centre allotment for all registered candidates, server issues, etc. There has not been any announcement confirming the postponement of the release yet. Hence, so far it is likely that the advance intimation of exam city slip for CUET UG 2023 will be released by tonight.

Originally, NTA was scheduled to release the CUET 2023 city slip on April 30, but it was postponed by two weeks, to May 14. This was due to the reopening of the CUET UG 2023 application correction window from May 1 to May 2. NTA also announced that the admit card will be released on May 18.

The marking scheme of the CUET UG 2023 exam is given below.

i. Correct answer or the most appropriate answer: Five marks ( 5)

ii. Any incorrect option marked will be given minus one mark (-1).

iii. Unanswered/Marked for Review will be given no mark (0).

iv. If more than one option is found to be correct then Five marks (5) will be awarded to only

v. those who have marked any of the correct options.

vi. If all options are found to be correct then Five marks (5) will be awarded to all those who have attempted the question

It must be noted that there will be no negative marking scheme for the General Test or the third section of the exam. 

The broad features of the CUET UG 2023 exam are given in the table below.

The CUET UG 2023 exam pattern has undergone a change in terms of the number of questions. It is a computer-based test (CBT) with a differential duration. The table below brings the broad structure of CUET in terms of the number of questions in each section along with the duration.

The total marks of the CUET UG exam carries a total of 800 marks. Candidates will be marked out of 800 marks. NTA will not release any merit list of rank list of candidates. 

There are exactly seven days left for the CUET UG 2023 exam to begin. The countdown has begun for the exam and candidates are advised to focus on last-minute preparation, practice and revision to ace the test. 

Meanwhile, various state boards, as well as the central boards such as CBSE and ICSE are releasing the Board exam results. The CUET UG 2023 exam is scheduled from May 21 to May 31. On the other hand, BITSAT 2023, the entrance exam for BITS Pilani is scheduled for May 27 and May 28. Candidates may face a clash in the exam dates. Moreover, since the admit cards for both exams have not been released yet, there is apprehension among students.

The Central government has announced that it has decided to extend the exemption of Northeast states including Meghalaya from the admission process into the central universities in specific regions through Common University Entrance Test (CUET) by another year. The list of central universities in Northeastern regions that have been exempted includes Sikkim University, Rajiv Gandhi University, Manipur University, Assam University, Tezpur University, Nagaland University, Tripura University, Mizoram University, NEHU and HNGBU, Uttrakhand.

Owing to the rationalisation of the NCERT syllabus, a lot of students are in doubt about whether there will be a change in the CUET UG 2023 syllabus or not. To lower candidates' anxieties, now the National Testing Agency (NTA) has clarified that the notified syllabus will remain the same as the exam is not just for students from a particular board. Not all boards have rationalised the content. "Pupils do not need to be concerned about the most recent NCERT syllabus change," an NTA official said

According to some media reports and expert speculations, it is expected that the CUET exam city slip 2023 will be available at late night today. 

There has not been any latest update on the official website of CUET UG 2023, which is cuet.samarth.ac.in. The UGC Chairman M Jagadesh Kumar has also not made any official announcement through his Twitter handle or press release yet. 

The total number of CUET UG 2023 slots will vary from two to three. For the subjects with a higher number of applications, the exam will be conducted in three slots. The slot number and timing will be mentioned on candidates' admit cards, as and when it will be released. 

Last year, when CUET was launched, the exam was marred with several technical glitches. This led to the cancellation of the exam at various centres and NTA reconducted those at later dates at either the same or different centres. If such a scenario arises this year, NTA will reconduct the CUET UG 2023 exam for the cancelled papers or centres during the reserved dates. Reserving dates in advance will provide a sense of security and convenience to candidates.
