CUET UG Result 2024 Delay

Students across India are growing increasingly anxious as the delay in releasing the CUET UG result 2024 continues. National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted CUET UG 2024 in May this year and was expected to provide scorecards by now, but the absence of official CUET result updates has left many students and their families in a state of uncertainty.

The CUET UG is a critical gateway for admission into undergraduate programs across various central, private, deemed and state universities. With private universities beginning their admission processes and students gearing up to start their academic journeys, the delay in CUET 2024 results has significant repercussions. Many students who took the exam have already received offers from private institutions and are preparing to join them, potentially missing out on opportunities in CUET accepting central universities due to the delay.

Social media platforms have become a venue for students to express their frustrations. A series of tweets highlights the frustration over CUET result 2024 delay:

"Hello Kumbhakarna CUET, when will you wake up from your slumber and release the results of the entrance exam given in May?! Kids have received admissions from Private Universities and are already making preparations to join. #CUET" – a concerned student tweeted.

Another tweet read, “Not only the late results affecting the students but are also affecting admissions in Private colleges. The overall session is also getting late. The results must be declared ASAP and the counselling should be scheduled at earliest.”

Criticism of the NTA's handling of the situation has been sharp. One user expressed frustration by saying, “CUET UG, NTA exam held in May this year had reached a monumental delay in publishing the result. Putting so many aspirants on tenterhooks is tantamount to farce, NTA is making a mockery of the students' time and destiny. An inept, crippled system of exam.”

The prolonged delay is not only causing anxiety but also complicates the academic calendar. Universities are struggling to finalise their admission processes and scheduling, which could have ripple effects on the academic year.
