NTA has postponed the CUET UG 2024 exam for Delhi centres. The exam scheduled to be held on May 15, 2024 has been postponed till May 29, 2024 for Delhi Centres.
CUET UG 2024 Exam
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the postponement of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG 2024 exam in Delhi. The CUET exam papers for Chemistry (306), Biology (304), English (101), and General Test (501), which were scheduled for May 15, 2024, have been rescheduled to May 29, 2024. The NTA stated in an official notice that the revised CUET 2024 admit cards will be issued for candidates appearing in centres across Delhi.
This last-minute decision came just hours before the exam was set to begin for centres across the country on May 15. According to NTA sources, the reason behind this postponement is attributed to manpower issues caused by the ongoing Lok Sabha elections.
"CUET UG is conducted on a large scale, and we had selected several exam centres and invigilators for this process. However, we were facing issues in securing an appropriate number of invigilators in Delhi exam centres for the May 15 exam due to the ongoing Lok Sabha elections. So, NTA has decided to conduct the May 15 exam after elections, i.e., May 29," said an NTA official.
On May 13, NTA issued admit cards for CUET UG 2024. However, in the evening, another notice was issued, requesting candidates to download the hall tickets only after May 14 evening.
"Candidates are advised to download the admit card on May 14th evening so that any changes in the Examination Centre due to administrative reasons may be reflected in the admit card," stated an official notice from NTA.
Candidates can download their CUET UG 2024 admit cards from the official website – exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG/.
CUET UG 2024 will be conducted between May 15 and 24 for approximately 13.48 lakh candidates in multiple exam centres in 380 cities, including 26 cities outside India. While exams between May 15 and 18 will be held in pen-paper mode, the remaining exams till May 24 will be conducted online.
