The President during her speech at the graduation urged students to consider their knowledge as a social affair and utilise it for the betterment of society and the country.
The National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) invited the President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu to grace the 13th graduation ceremony at Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
The President appreciated NISER for its dedication to students stating "“The journey of NISER has been just a few years, but in a short period, it has made a significant place for itself in the education world. I am pleased to see that this institution is moving forward by adhering to the rhythm of science and tradition.”
She further urged students to use their education and knowledge for the betterment and upliftment of humanity. She wished good luck to students and hoped students would also fulfil their social duties with full accountability.
Adding to her speech, the President further said that in addition to the boon of science, a danger of its curse stays behind. Very immediate changes have taken place in the field of Science and Technology in recent times. New technical evolutions are delivering capabilities to human civilisation, simultaneously, a lot of new challenges affect humanity. However, nuisances related to moral and social issues are also emerging due to the use of this technology.
