After cancelling TUET 2020, the university will be offering admissions on merit basis and, candidates can now apply until August 15 in online mode. Read here to know more.
Tripura University has extended the last date of application for admissions 2020-21 until August 15. Moreover, the university has also shared revised criteria for all courses as it will not be conducting TUET 2020 due to COVID-19 pandemic. The admissions will be completely based on merit scores in the qualifying examination. However, for admission to MBA courses, scores of MAT or similar admission tests will be considered.
As per the official notification released on July 3, the university will be considering the following:
- "Admission Merit Lists for PG Courses will be prepared on the basis of the Final results of Undergraduate Degree Courses. Lists will be finalized after the declaration Of UG Courses by the University.

The Academic Section will send category wise list of Applicants to every Department for finalization of Merit List.

Applicants will be directed to attend Counselling with their Final Results.

The Merit List will be prepared by each Department taking the overall percentage.

Candidates with Honours will be given priority over Pass candidates. In case of Honours candidates, total Honours marks shall be taken, while in case of Pass candidates aggregate marks shall be taken in preparing the Merit List.

Department of Management will consider candidates with MAT/any other approved Test certificates while making the Merit List.
- Departments with Practical Oriented Courses like Physical Education and Music will conduct Counseling as per their requirement prior to finalization of Merit List."
The university will be sharing a revised schedule for admissions, until then candidates can apply for admissions before August 15.
