Skill India Mission: 260 ITI students bag job offers from leading mobile company

ITI Berhampur witnessed the participation of more than 350 students in the campus placement drive. 

ITI Placement 2022: After a two-day long recruitment drive, 260 students of ITI Berhampur bagged job offers from a leading mobile handset company based in Noida, Lava International. The placement drive was held in the ITI auditorium. The placement drive of ITI Berhampur witnessed the participation of more than 350 students in the campus placement drive. This has given a boost to the Government of India’s Skill India mission, which aims at providing adequate training in market-relevant skills to over 40 crore youths by the end of this year.

New recruits to join in September

A three-member team under the leadership of Ashwini Jaiswal, HR Head of Lava International, organised the written test followed by interviews. The new recruits are scheduled to join duty from September 1 after their exams are over by the last week of August, Dr Rajat Panigrahy, principal, ITI, Berhampur said.

The newly recruited students received job offer letters distributed by Prafulla Mohanty, Vice-Chancellor of Khallikote University and Nayak, District Employment Officer at a function.

Professor Mohanty highly appreciated the skill echo system which has helped them in getting jobs at the age of only 18 years. The professor talked about certain life lessons and advised students always to be positive in life and utilise their skill potential to the optimum level.

250 ITI Students recruited by Suzuki motors

Students also received tons of praises from the HR head of Lava International, Ashwini Jaiswal. Jaiswal said that ITI Berhampur students were very sincere and hard-working.  The ITI principal Dr Rajat Panigrahy congratulated the successful students and thanked the Lava management for the confidence and trust they have reposed in ITI students.  It is to be noted that last week, Suzuki Motors recruited more than 250 ITI students.
