Student Unions demand JEE main 2022 extra attempt amid agnipath protest, assam floods
The Students’ Union in its representation highlighted that amid the ongoing Agnipath protests and floods in Assam and other northeastern states, many students were not able to appear for the exam and they should be given one more chance.
All India Student’s Union (AISU) today submitted a representation to National Testing Agency (NTA) demanding an extra attempt for JEE Mains 2022 exam. The Students’ Union in its representation highlighted that amid the ongoing Agnipath protests and floods in Assam and other northeastern states, many students were either not able to appear for the exam or were not in the right frame of mind to give their best.
The Union in its representation stated that “Agnipath protests going on in various parts of the country has resulted in the closure of some highways and cancelation of many train bookings. This has caused difficulty for students to travel to exam centers. Along with this, farmers’ associations have also announced nationwide agitation on June 24, 2022 making it again difficult to travel.”
“Floods in North-East states like Assam and other northeastern states have affected many people. People are in rescue tents including students. With all this situation it is almost impossible for aspirants to reach their exam centers,” the letter added.
The Student’s Union has urged the authority to allow an extra attempt in JEE Mains 2022 to ensure a fair chance in the larger interest of students, especially those who missed out on the exams.
