Hyderabad student dies by suicide over Teacher Recruitment Exam Postponement

As per reports, a 23-year-old woman, who was preparing for the TSPSC exam, has allegedly died by suicide in her hostel room in Hyderabad's Ashok Nagar area.

She was frustrated over repeated delays in the exam. After her suicide, a large number of people gathered on the streets to protest against the state government. The tragic incident caused outrage among the students preparing for government jobs. The protesting students raised slogans against the government.

She was preparing for the TSPSC exams and was upset that she couldn't do anything for her family and ended her life after the TSPSC notification was postponed twice, as said by the Police.

As per Times Now report, the police also recovered a suicide note that stated that she was sorry for her family that she couldn't do anything for them.

The girl, identified as Pravalika, was found dead in her room after she hung herself in the Brindavan hostel located in Ashok Nagar, police said. She was a native of Warangal district and was staying in Hyderabad for her studies.

The opposition parties held the K Chandrashekhar Rao-headed government in the state responsible for her death.

"She was diligently preparing for government examinations for many months. But due to repeated cancellations and postponements of exams by the BRS government, she took the extreme step," said BJP MP K Laxman, as reported by NDTV.

He also demanded that woman's suicide note should be made public.
