Harish Rao confirms that new nursing college at Siddipet will be inaugurated in March

A new nursing college will be inaugurated at Siddipet, Telangana, in March 2022, said the Telangana Finance and Health Minister T. Harish Rao. At a review meeting held at the district headquarters town,

he gave the details that the college will start with about 100 students.

The classes are set to be started from the old Maternal and Child Health (MCH) centre.

He said all arrangements must be made in the temporary premises and foundation stone will be laid in the next two weeks for the permanent building.

“Every year there will be an intake of 100 students and as many as 400 students will be there in the college. About five acres of land was identified in the outskirts of Ensanpally for the construction of college building and foundation stone will be laid in the next two weeks,” said Harish Rao, as reported by The Hindu.

Harish Rao praised the effects of Unani treatment for chronic diseases

He said that the Unani system of medicine is very effective and can be used to treat chronic diseases. The state government has been making all efforts to strengthen the Unani Department of AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy), he added.

Harish Rao said people from neighbouring states are visiting the Unani hospital at Charminar for the treatment of chronic diseases. The branch of AYUSH provides treatment not only for chronic diseases but also for other mental and physical ailments, peptic ulcer, arthritis, paralysis, diabetes, asthma, allergies etc without any side effects. Earlier, the Unani medicine was popular but it lags behind in recognition now due to the advancement of modern medical health care facilities, he said, as reported by Indian Express.
