TN NEET UG Counselling 2022 seat matrix released

Directorate of Medical Education (DME) Tamil Nadu has released the seat matrix for TN NEET UG Counselling 2022 for admissions to MBBS and BDS courses under management and NRI quota. There are a total of 1956 seats available for MBBS and BDS admissions.

For NRI seats comprising both MBBS and BDS, there are a total of 475 seats available. Of these 415 seats are available in self-financing medical colleges, 45 in private institution medical colleges and 15 in self-financing dental colleges.

Under management quota, there are 1481 seats available, of which 821 are in self-financing medical colleges, 105 are in private university medical colleges, and 555 are in self-financing dental colleges.

TN DME's official statement reads, "ln reference to the Round I of MBBS/BDS Courses 2022-2O23 session in Government Medical/Dental Colleges, Self Financing Medical/Dental Colleges for both Government Quota and Management Quota, the reporting is scheduled to end on November 4, 2022, up to 5.00 PM. lt is for information that the candidates can resign their seats of Round I counselling within the stipulated date and time/cut-off date of Round I i.e., November 11, 2022, up to 5.00 PM, after which they will be considered as part of Round l! and the same rules will apply on them as applicable for Round ll Counselling."

"Candidates are advised to ensure that their Resignation Letter is submitted to their allotted colleges, failing which the resignation will be treated as "Null and Void". Candidates who are given consent for re=allotment in round ll counselling and participate in Round ll Counseling, but are not re-allotted, will have to retain the seat (i.e. Round I allotted seat). ln such a case, rules of Round ll will apply since the candidate has exercised choices and participated in Round ll. There is no option for resignation if the candidate is not re. allotted in Round 2. Round I joined candidates who neither participate in Round ll nor resign from the seat of Round I will be considered part of Round ll after the stipulated time. Hence, the candidates who desire to resign from their seat of Round I should do so on or before 5 PM on November 11, 2022," added the notification.
