The UPMSP Copies' evaluation process will conclude on May 5. With the evaluation process underway, UP Board has made a major announcement. The state board will be awarding students wih full marks for all the questions that were asked out of syllabus for both classes 10 and 12. The evaluation is being done for over 2.25 crore answer-sheets of 47,75,749 students at 271 evaluation centres spread across the state.

In total,12 questions across all subjects in UP Board intermediate exams were asked from syllabus/topics that were excluded. Similarly, several questions in the 7 core subjects of UP Board Class 10 exams 2022 were also from the syllabus which was excluded for this year.

“Taking note of the slip-ups, UP Board has instructed chief head examiners and examiners busy evaluating answer-sheets of UP Board’s high school and intermediate examinations-2022 to award equal marks to all the examinees for all such questions asked from outside the curriculum in around a dozen subjects of class 12 and seven core subjects of class 10,” said UP Board officials.

Due to COVID-19, the UP board had announced a reduction of 30% of the syllabus for all subjects for High School and Intermediate Exams 2021-22. However, despite this announcement, in a few question paper sets, the board had included questions from topics or chapters that were excluded from this year’s curriculum. For such questions, students will be awarded full marks, even if they have not attempted them.
