UP schools in various districts closed, timings changed in Lucknow

In the wake of cold wave, timings for classes 1 to 8 for school students have been changed to 10 am - 3 pm in Lucknow.

Uttar Pradesh schools in Lucknow District have changed timings amid the severe cold waves. The school timings have been changed for Classes 1 to 8 in the city. Classes will continue from 10 am and end at 3 pm. The order has been issued today, January 15, 2023. In the wake of cold wave, timings for classes 1 to 8 for school students have been changed to 10 am - 3 pm in Lucknow. According to the official update, only school timings have been changed and there is no update on the closure of schools due to cold weather.

Gorakhpur schools closed

In other news, Gorakhpur DM has announced that educational work for classes LKG-12th, at all schools in the district to remain closed on January 16 and 17, and schools that have scheduled pre-boards or practical exams can conduct exams from 10 am- 2 pm.

Meerut schools upto Class 8 to remain shut

As the cold wave spell continues over parts of Uttar Pradesh, the schools will remain shut in the district of Meerut for classes up to 8th standard. The order has been issued for all schools in Meerut today, January 15, 2023.

Though classes are shut until class 8, the schools will operate for Classes 9 to 12 from 10 am to 3 pm.
