Navodaya Vidyalaya Recruitment: Teachers to receive appointment letter post-lockdown

The teachers who have completed the recruitment process of Navodaya Vidyala will receive their appointment left once the lockdown is lifted, said Union Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank.

 

The teachers who have completed the recruitment process of Navodaya Vidyala will receive their appointment left once the lockdown is lifted, said Union Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank. The announcement was made by the minister while he was interacting with the teachers from across the country through a webinar.

While answering the question raised over the appointments of teachers, he said, that more than 8,000 appointments in Kendriya Vidyalayas and nearly 2,500 appointments are done in Navodaya Vidyalayas. 

He also added that more than 12,000 teachers were appointed in the universities.  

"The teachers selected in the recruitment process of Navodaya Vidyalaya will get appointment letters once the lockdown ends," the minister said, adding that, the government is taking every step possible to ensure that the posts of teachers are not left vacant and all vacancies are filled up soon.

 

The Minister also mourned the death of a teacher of primary school in Delhi due to Corona Virus.

While responding to the question on reopening of schools post lockdown, he said,  the school administration and teachers will carry out the various tasks such as defining specific roles and responsibilities of all stakeholders at the school level, defining and establishing Health and Hygiene and other Safety Protocols or Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) before and after the opening of schools, redefining or readjusting School Calendar and Annual Curriculum Plans, ensuring the smooth transition of students from home-based schooling during lockdown to formal schooling and ensuring emotional well-being of students.

He also expressed his gratitude toward all the teachers for taking efforts to teach students through online method and for spreading awareness regarding the coronavirus among students.
