The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) will soon release IBPS Clerk 2021 revised notification once the Finance Ministry declares its decision on conducting the exam in local or regional languages. IBPS will also activate the new link to fill IBPS Clerk application form.

Earlier, IBPS Clerk 2021 notification was released on July 11 to fill up a total of 5830 IBPS Clerk vacancies. However, the recruitment was put on hold by the Finance Ministry after a certain section of the media raised concern regarding holding the examination in only two languages-Hindi and English despite the fact that 22 languages are recognised by the Constitution of India. IBPS Clerk exam dates will be announced along with the revised notification.

According to IBPS Clerk eligibility criteria, the age limit for applying to the exam is between 20 and 28 years. The educational qualification prescribed for the exam is Graduation. Final year graduation candidates can also appear for the exam. Candidates must have proficiency in the official language of the state/UT for which they wish to apply.

The application fees for the IBPS Clerk exam are Rs 850 for General and OBC candidates and Rs 175 for SC/ST/PWD candidates. IBPS Clerk selection process includes prelims and mains exams. In 2020, a total of 7.41 lakh candidates had registered for the exam, out of which 5.08 lakh candidates had appeared for the exam.
