RBI Grade B 2024: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced RBI Grade B 2024 result for the Phase 1 exam on September 20, 2024. RBI Grade B scorecard and cut off marks will be released soon. The result has been made available in PDF form and comprises the roll numbers of qualified candidates.

RBI Grade B exam dates 2024 were announced along with the notification. The Phase 1 exam of RBI Grade B General post was conducted on September 8, 2024. 

The detailed RBI Grade B 2024 notification was released on July 25, 2024. The short RBI Grade B 2024 notification was released on July 19, 2024. The number of increments given to RBI Grade B Officers is four. Initial basic pay is INR 55,200 with a yearly increment of INR 2850 for nine years. The basic pay is INR 80850 with the yearly increment of INR 2850 for the next two years. The basic pay is INR 99750 with yearly increment of INR 3300 for the next four years.

The Phase 1 exam for DEPR/DSIM department was conducted on September 14, 2024. The Phase 2 exam of RBI Grade B for the General post will be conducted on October 19, 2024. The Phase 2 exam for DEPR/DSIM will be conducted on October 26, 2024. RBI Grade B Mains cut off is calculated to select candidates for the interview. It is the aggregate cut off marks in the Paper 1, 2 and 3 taken together in the descriptive and objective tests and is calculated out of 300 marks. The cut off for the Mains exam is released after the completion of the recruitment process.

RBI Grade B cut off is calculated based on the following factors: Exam difficulty Total vacancies Number of candidates appearing for the exam Normalisation process Candidates needs to secure both sectional and overall cut-offs of RBI Grade B or else they are not selected for the subsequent stages of the selection process. The sectional cut off is prescribed only for the prelims exam.

Q:   What is RBI Grade B cutoff?

A:
RBI Grade B cut-off marks are the minimum qualifying marks that candidates need to secure in each stage of the selection process. Candidates securing equal to or more than the cut off marks as per their categories are called for the next round of the selection process. The examination authority also decides sectional cut off marks for RBI Grade B exam. Candidates need to secure both the sectional and overall cut off marks in RBI Grade B exam.

Q:   What is RBI Grade B prelims cut off?

A:
RBI Grade B prelims cut off is decided to select candidates for the Mains exam. The cut off marks for this stage are calculated out of 200 marks. The cut off marks are decided after normalisation since the exam is conducted in multiple shifts. The cut off marks obtained in this stage are not counted for the final merit list.

RBI Grade B 2024 Eligibility Criteria

RBI Grade B eligibility criteria comprise certain age limit, educational qualifications, and nationality parameters. Check below the eligibility criteria prescribed for RBI Grade B 2024 exam.

RBI Grade B Age Limit

Candidates must be between 21 and 30 years old as per RBI Grade B eligibility criteria. For MPhil and PhD, the upper age limit is 32 and 34, respectively. Relaxation in the upper age limit is provided to candidates belonging to the reserved categories.

RBI Grade B Educational Qualification

The educational qualification required for RBI Grade B exam is given below:

Officers in Grade 'B' (DR)-(General)

  • Graduation in any discipline /Equivalent technical or professional qualification with minimum 60 per cent marks (50 per cent for SC/ST/PwBD applicants

Or,

  • Postgraduation in any discipline/Equivalent technical or professional qualification with minimum 55 per cent marks (pass marks for SC/ST/PwBD applicants) in aggregate of all semesters/years
  • Graduate candidates should note that any technical or professional course from recognised university or institute that is taken after Class 12 and is at least three years duration or those possessing professional or technical qualifications which are considered equivalent to professional or technical graduation are eligible to apply for the exam
  • Postgraduate level candidates should note that any technical or professional course taken after graduation and is at least two years duration or recognised by the Government as equivalent to professional or technical post-graduation will be eligible for the exam

Officers in Grade 'B' (DR) DEPR/DSIM

Master's Degree with 55 per cent and 50 per cent for SC, ST, and PwBD candidates.

RBI Grade B 2024 Exam Pattern 

RBI Grade B exam pattern is divided into prelims exam, mains exam, and interview. The exam pattern of prelims comprises four sections- General Awareness, Reasoning, English Language, and Quantitative Aptitude. The total marks allotted to the test are 200. The mains exam comprises three papers- Paper-I: Economic and Social Issues, Paper-II: English (Writing Skills), and Paper-III: Finance and Management. The total marks allotted to the test are 300.
