SSC Stenographer exam centres 2024: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) activated the link to check SSC Stenographer 2024 test cities. Candidates can  check the allotted test cities by logging with the required credentials. SSC Stenographer exam centres 2024 was released along with the notification. The exam is conducted in Computer Based Mode in over 100 cities. Candidates are required to give preferences for three exam cities while filling SSC Stenographer application form 2024. Candidates are not allowed to change SSC Stenographer exam centre 2024 selected by them after the final submission of the application form.   • Three SSC Stenographer exam centres in the order of priority within the same region can be selected by candidates
  • No request for a change in SSC Stenographer exam centre will be accepted by the examination authority
  • SSC will allot SSC Stenographer exam centres to the candidates opted for by them
  • The commission reserves the right to cancel any centre and ask candidates of that centre to appear from another centre
  • SSC reserves the right to allot candidates of any centre to some other centre

SSC need to choose SSC Stenographer exam centres while filling the application form. Candidates can choose three exam cities for SSC Stenographer exam. Q:   In how many stages SSC Stenographer exam is conducted?

The selection process of SSC Stenographer comprises CBT and skill Test in Stenography. The CBT comprises three sections, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, and English Language and Comprehension. The total marks for the test are 200. Candidates are given one dictation for 10 minutes in English or Hindi. Candidates need to type the dictation at the speed of 100 words per minute for the post of Stenographer Grade C and 80 w.p.m for the post of Grade D.

SSC Stenographers Salary 2024 is categorised into Grade C and Grade D, with monthly payments determined by the 7th pay commission. Grade C Stenographers enjoy an in-hand salary of INR 51,000, while Grade D Stenographers receive INR 36,000 per month.

The pay matrix ranges from INR 4,200 or INR 4,600 for Grade C to 2,400 for Grade D. In addition to the base SSC Stenographer salary reflected in the SSC Stenographer Grade C and D salary slip, employees are eligible for various allowances associated with their positions.

Q:   What is SSC Stenographer exam pattern?

The Computer Based Test of SSC Stenographer comprises three sections: General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness and English Language and Comprehension. The General Intelligence & Reasoning and General Awareness sections carry 50 questions each while the English Language and Comprehension section comprises 100 questions. Total marks allotted to General Intelligence & Reasoning and General Awareness sections are 50 each while the English Language and Comprehension section carry 100 marks. Candidates will be given two hours to complete the exam.

In the skill test, candidates will be given one dictation for 10 minutes in English or Hindi which they need to type at the speed of 100 words per minute (w.p.m) for the post of Stenographer Grade C and 80 w.p.m for Stenographer Grade D post.

At times due to the heavy load at the server, the admit card page takes time to load. Candidates are advised to keep patience and then download SSC Stenographer admit card.  Candidates should enter the login credentials correctly inorder to download SSC Stenographer admit card.
