UPSC, on August 5, has released CDS 2 notification and application form for 344 vacancies. The last date of application is August 25. Candidates can pay the application fees offline till August 24. 

CDS 2 notification

CDS 2 notification and application form have been released by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on August 5. Interested candidates can apply online for the exam till August 25. The online application form can be withdrawn from September 1 to 7, 2020. Candidates can pay the application fees offline till August 24. Online payment of application fees can be done till August 25.

The exam for CDS 2 will be conducted on November 8. CDS exam is conducted for the recruitment of candidates as Commissioned Officers in Indian Army, Navy and Air Force. A total of 344 CDS vacancies have been announced.

How to apply for the exam?

The steps to fill CDS application form 2020 are given below:

  • Visit the official website
  • Click the Part-I link to register for CDS exam
  • Enter personal details, address and educational qualification to apply online for CDS
  • On successful registration, the registration ID will be generated
  • Login with registration ID and date of birth to fill Part-II of application form
  • Pay the application fees which are Rs 200 for General and OBC male candidates. Female/SC/ST candidates are exempted from fee payment
  • Select the CDS exam centres
  • Upload the scanned images of photograph and signature
  • Submit the application form and take its printout

The written exam of IMA, INA and AFA comprises three sections: English, General Knowledge and Elementary Mathematics. The test paper for admission to OTA comprises two sections: English and General Knowledge. Total exam duration is six hours (each section is for two hours) while it is four hours (each section is for two hours) for OTA. Total marks of the test for IMA, INA and AFA are 300 while it is 200 for OTA. The test paper will consist of objective type questions only. Read CDS exam pattern and syllabus
