The UPSC EPFO 2021 recruitment test will be conducted on May 9 at the designated exam centres across the nation in offline mode. The UPSC EPFO recruitment test 2021 will be conducted for the post of Enforcement Officer/Account Officer in the Employees Provident Fund Organisation. The Union Public Service Commission released an official notice regarding the timetable and the syllabus for the EPFO Recruitment test 2021.

UPSC EPFO 2021 Syllabus

The UPSC EPFO Recruitment Test 2021 will be conducted as an objective type multiple-choice exam. It will be conducted in the forenoon session (10 AM to 12 PM). The UPSC also notified the syllabus for the UPSC EPFO exam. The UPSC EPFO Syllabus, as given in the official UPSC notification, is as follows.

1. General English – To evaluate candidate’s understanding of English language and workmanlike use of words

2. Indian Freedom Struggle

3. Current Events and Developmental Issues

4. Indian Polity and Economy

5. General Accounting Principles

6. Industrial Relations and Labour Laws                

7. General Science & Knowledge of Computer Applications   

8. General Mental Ability & Quantitative Aptitude   

9. Social Security in India

Weight-age of written and interview

The UPSC EPFO recruitment will have a two-phase selection process and the major shareholder will be the written exam which will account for 75% weight-age and the interview will have a weightage of 25%.

The maximum marks allotted to the UPSC EPFO test are 300 marks and the interview will be 100 marks. The final merit list will be prepared out of 400 marks. The duration of the written test will be two hours. The most probable number of questions in the written exam will 150.

There will be a penalty for a wrong answer in the UPSC EPFO written exam. For each wrong answer, one-third marks assigned to the question will be deducted from the aggregate marks of the candidate.

The candidature of the candidate is provisional until the appointment. The candidate will be asked for the documents and the shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview.

Instruction for the EPFO Exam

The entry into the examination hall will start one hour before the session time.

The candidates will be required to mark their answers with a Black ball-point pen.

It will be mandatory to wear the mask and follow the social distancing norms and the instruction provided by the commission.

The candidates could be asked to remove their mask for verification purpose.

Candidates may carry their own hand sanitiser to the examination hall.

Mobiles and other electronic devices such as a calculator. Log tables, slide rules are strictly prohibited to the exam hall.
