Rajasthan PTET 2020 postponed till further notice due to COVID 19 outbreak
As the country is grappling with the deadly coronavirus, the authority has decided to postpone Rajasthan PTET exam for an indefinite time, read details here.
Rajasthan PTET, a state-level competitive exam for admission to BEd courses, has been postponed till further notice due to COVID 19 pandemic. The exam was originally scheduled to be held on May 10, 2020 and the admit card was to be released on May 5.
As the nation is presently grappling with the outbreak of coronavirus and a nationwide lockdown in place, it becomes difficult to conduct the exam in such a scenario. Hence, toeing to the lines of other exam conducting bodies, Government Dungar College, Bikaner, that conducts Rajsathan PTET, has decided to postpone the exam. There is no information on the date of conduction of the exam as of yet, candidates will be notified on the same once the situation in the state becomes favorable to conduct the exam.
This year the authority received a total number of 4,80,926 applications, of which 3,27,270 candidates have applied two-year and for BEd four-year programme 1,53,696 applications have applied.
Along with that, Government Dungar College, Bikaner has also extended the application correction window till May 5. It is expected that PTET counselling will also be postponed and a new exam calendar will be issued in due course of time. Check PTET application details here.
Rajasthan PTET examination is held once a year, the exam is of a total 200 marks and has four sections- mental ability, teaching attitude and aptitude test, general awareness and language proficiency, each section carries 50 marks.
