    A:
    {Source: BCA students & alumni}

Based on the feedback from students and alumni, here's a summary of the pros and cons:

    Pros:

    * Good Faculty: Students praise the faculty for being helpful, knowledgeable, and supportive.
    * Practical Learning: The course offers hands-on training in computer labs, making learning easier.
    * Scholarships Available: Merit-based scholarships are awarded to deserving students.
    * Campus Life: The campus atmosphere is conducive to studies, and students enjoy a lively social scene.
    * Job Opportunities: While not all students may get placements, top companies like Wipro, TCS, and Infosys visit the campus, offering salaries ranging from INR10,000 to INR45,000 per month.
    * Infrastructure: The university provides decent facilities, including Wi-Fi, laboratories, and a library.

    Cons:

    * Limited Placement Record: Not all students secure placements, and some opt for government jobs or further education instead.
    * Food Quality: Mess food can be unappetizing due to limited variations.
    * No Reserved Football Field: The lack of a dedicated football ground is a disappointment for some students.
    * Extracurricular Activities Limited: Club activities are restricted to certain events, and there isn't a strong focus on extracurricular development.

In conclusion, while BCA at Assam Don Bosco University has its strengths, including good faculty and practical learning opportunities, it falls short in certain areas, such as limited placement records and limited extracurricular activities. Potential students should weigh these factors carefully before deciding whether the programme is worth investing in.

I am dissatisfied with the girls' hostel. They should consider the environment over there.
Placements: The college doesn't provide any packages after completion of the course. We have to do MCA and then only we can get placements. About 30% to 40% of students get internships from our course. Many students don't prefer to do internships.
Infrastructure: Labs are good every time. They keep updating the software for the students to make it easy to use. They clean classrooms every day. The speed of Wi-Fi is slow every time. The quality of food is average, no complaints. The medical facilities are good.
Faculty: Teachers are great. Their teaching is easy to understand. They are friendly and share their joy with us. They are helpful and qualified. The difficulty level of exams is average. If you study hard, you will score. If you don't, the difficulty level will be high.
Other: I chose this course because I was interested in learning about computers and also because the current generation seems to have computers and it is the most commonly used device. So I can see a promised future in this course. Events and the surroundings of the campus are better than on our main campus. We are enjoying our college life. I think the government should look into this course as they see the computer science course. These students should also get the same package as the B.Tech students.

Assam Don Bosco University is a very good University to start your career.
Placements: 60% of students got placed. The highest package is 7lakh per annum and the lowest is 3lakh per annum approximately. Companies like Wipro, TCS, HDFC. There are so many courses available. B.Tech in civil, mechanical, computer, electrical, and Bachelor's in computer applications.
Infrastructure: All facilities are available in our university, they provide hostel, Wi-Fi, library, lab etc. There are lab available for each and every department. You can go anytime to the lab and practice your work to become perfect. Library is so organized and peace you can go anytime to get a book.
Faculty: Faculty members are so helpful, they will always be there for you to help you in each and every step. Semester exam is quite tough. All those questions comes from whatever teacher has taught us during the class. They conduct tu total exam - class test 1 nad class test 2 and final exam. Pass percentage is 40%. .
Other: I have chosen BCA in Assam Don Bosco University because I love to do coding so I wanted to take admission in BCA in such a college where I will be able to know about real time application. And I found this university is the best to start my career. Our university provide scholarship for merit students, sports etc. They used to organise events for encouraging students.

My experience in Assam Don Bosco University.
Placements: I am currently in my first year so there is not yet much experience in the placements section; however, the seniors informed us that not all will get placements and around 70% get them. Internships are part of the course and are thus undertaken by every student before passing out of the university. Top companies also send recruiters to the college to recruit talented and skilled students. I will update this review when I experience it firsthand.
Infrastructure: The facilities provided by the university are average. We get Wi-Fi, whose speed is around 30 Mbps, with around 10 computer labs and specific rooms for the engineering students. There is a library, which is the best infrastructure that is provided, as many kinds of books can be found in it. There are four floors of classrooms and each specific department has its own staff rooms and toilets. The hostel provides a fairly good infrastructure, and I will agree that the environment around it is very good for studying. However, the food provided in the mess can be distasteful for a lot of people, as there is very little variation in the food rotation. There are areas for playing basketball, volleyball and badminton. The most disappointing part for me is that there is no place reserved for football.
Faculty: The faculty at ADBU are very good. They are all experienced and are willing to help with our problems. Most of them have finished their Ph.D.s, so they can help us learn important life lessons and mentor us throughout our course. They are also very supportive in terms of our hobbies and side gigs. They are understanding in terms of attendance in case we have to join events or activities outside of the university (sports, etc.). The course they teach is simple and easy to understand but we haven't really learned how to use it in the real world. The semester exams are also fairly moderate and are not too hard. It is easy to score marks with understanding, but it is also difficult to get very high marks. The pass percentage of the course is roughly around 40%, which in terms of CGPA is around 3 CGPA.
Other: I chose this course because of its future benefits. Since computers are the future of our generation, it is a guarantee that there will be jobs and occupations that will require skill sets learned from this course. The best thing about the course is that there is practical learning in the computer labs, which can make the learning experience very easy. Despite all its good and bad points, the course will benefit from having better infrastructure in the labs and better real-world experience activities. Extracurriculars and activities are also not given importance at the university. The only time that club activities are held is during the university week called D'Vere. This is usually held during the first week of March or the last week of February. Scholarships can also be availed of by toppers and from special sections of society. The campus life is great as people are sociable and easy to make friends with. So if academic study is your main goal, this is the place for you.

Faculty: 1. The teachers are very helpful and qualified and knowledgeable the teaching quality is very good the students are able to understand the things properly. 2. In this course all the required subjects are included which makes the student ready for industry.
Other: 1. I want to make my profession in IT field adjust this course as because the best things in this course you can be a developer you can develop your own ideas which could be helpful for other persons in real time 2. The college should include AI in the course so that the students then get more knowledge in the time of graduation. 3. The college has good teachers and infrastructure.
Placements: The college has medium placements every year. Reputed companies like TCS, Wipro, etc., visit for placements along with various other companies. The salary package offered ranges from Rs. 10,000-45,000 per month with the scope of future increment. The placement locations are spread throughout the country.
Infrastructure: The campus has all the necessary labs, which are a quite high end. For our course, there are many computer labs. The systems in the labs are equipped with fast internet, and all the required software. There are 2 canteens inside the campus, and the food is above average.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable, most of them having completed their doctorate. They are highly approachable regarding anything. The course teaches all the basic programming languages like c, c+, and also moves on to newer technologies like python, ML, etc.
Other: I have chosen this course because this course provides a way for students into the IT sector, irrespective of their HS branch. There is 2 major fest organised by the college every year, one in each semester.

The college has good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: I don't have any idea about the percentage of the students in our course got placed. Software companies visit the campus to recruit students. Top roles offered are a data analyst, software designer, coder and various other job roles. I don't have any idea about the percentage of the students who got an internship, but summer internships are held in every semester.
Infrastructure: Facilities like Wi-fi, labs, classrooms, and library, etc., are provided. Everything is supplied to students here on this campus with good infrastructure, and the college members also organise workshops. Good quality of canteen and medical facilities are available. Sports and games are conducted in each semester to boost the students up.
Faculty: Teachers are very much helpful, and each teacher is qualified for other jobs, and they are knowledgeable in their fields. They always help the student in there needs. The course curriculum is similar to the computer science engineering course almost all sorts of the subject are the same as the CSE department. It makes the students' industry-ready.
Other: I have chosen this course because it is a short course as some years of mine are lost because of a family problem. And it's quite similar to CSE course where I would get full knowledge of computer applications. Adjoining python and machine learning to the course will be helpful for students. Events like prajyuktam technical event are organised each year, and the fest is organised every year in every semester. Campus crowd is up to limit, and campus surrounding is good and environmentally friendly. Scholarships are given to various students from the college as well as government, and extracurricular activities are always done regularly to improve the skills of the students.
