Amity University admissions begin in January and continue till July. Amity University, Ranchi existed in 2016 and functions under the Amity Group of Institutions. Two names know it— either Amity University Jharkhand or Amity University Ranchi. Amity University Ranchi offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Engineering, Management, Commerce, Computers, and Law. The admission to all courses is done based on academic record, score in the Amity written test, and performance in the personal interview. For an MBA, candidates must also clear the Management Aptitude Test. It is only after clearing all these stages that students will be given an offer of admission.

Amity University Ranchi Admissions 2024: Eligibility and Selection Criteria

Amity University, Ranchi admission is open for all UG and PG courses. The duration of UG courses is three years, whereas PG courses are of two-year duration. Amity University Ranchi Admission Process 2024

Amity Ranchi admission is a multi-step process. Candidates seeking for getting admission to UG/ PG courses of the university must go through a detailed Amity University Ranchi admission process. To admit the right candidates, the university selects students based on selection criteria, which include filling the application form, qualifying for the selection rounds and paying for the Amity University Ranchi fees at the time of final admission.

Step 1: Amity University Ranchi Application Process 2024

The Amity University admission process begins by filling out an application form on the official website of Amity University Ranchi. If candidates wish to apply for more than one programme, they need to fill out a separate form for each course by paying an application fee of INR 1,500 each. The new users are required to generate login credentials fill an online application form with all the relevant details and documents and submit the form on the admission portal of Amity Ranchi.

Step 2: Amity University Ranchi Selection Process

Amity Ranchi admissions are both merit and entrance-based. For most of the UG & PG courses, candidates are selected based on merit of the last qualifying exam of previous education. Further, the shortlisted candidates have to appear for the Personal Interview round, which is mandatory to qualify for admission to every course. Candidates have to qualify for exams such as Amity- Joint Entrance Examination etc.

Step 3: The Final Offer Letter

After the completion of all the selection rounds, the final result will be declared. The information concerning selection will be communicated on the admission microsite as well as via Email and SMS. Selected candidates will get an admission letter along with important information such as semester fee, class commencement date, time, venue of the course, allotment of a hostel (If applied), scholarship (If any) and the list of documents required at the time of joining. Online Application Process

Step-1: Candidates need to visit the official website of Amity University and click on 'admissions' tab and then 'how to apply'.

Step-2: If candidates are applying for the first time, they need to click on 'Apply Fresh' and fill their basic details as asked.

In case, candidates have already registered themselves, they need to complete their application by clicking on 'Continue partially filled form'
For candidates who want to apply for another programme in the current academic year, can do so using the same credentials as well. For this, they have an Option-C at the bottom of the page as depicted in the image below-

Step-3: After filling the basic details, candidate need to enter the programme they are applying to along with the campus.

Candidates need to fill all the details such as nationality, and hostel accommodation choice to proceed to the next step

Step-4: After selecting the desired course, candidates need to fill details about the discipline and then click on 'close'.

Step-5: After this, candidates need to select the applicable gender. They need to choose the category they belong to and fill their correct date of birth.

This step is very crucial because candidates need to fill in their address as well.

Step-6: In this step, candidates need to enter details of the exams they have qualified. This is needed because if students have a good rank in any of the national level examination, they will be exempted from the selection process conducted by Amity University. Also, details of Class 10^th and 12^th score needs to be filled in this step.

Step-8: In this step, candidates are also expected to attach their Statement of Marks of each semester of the last university that they have attended. This will reduce chances of any false information regarding the previous academic record.

Step-9: In case candidates are applying to PG programme, they need to look at this step carefully. Here, candidates are required to upload information about their last qualifying exam including the year, enrollment number and marks.

Step-10: After entering education-related details, candidates need to provide details about their family—Father and Mother. This includes information about name, mobile number, qualification, profession, designation and address.

Step-11: In this step, candidates need to upload their class 10^th marksheet along with a recently clicked photograph.

Step-12: This step is of utmost importance because here candidates need to make the payment of their application form. After reading the terms and conditions, candidates need to agree to the terms and conditions. The application fee is Rs 1100/-.

Step-13: This is the final step of the application process where candidates need to select their payment method for the application form. Once candidates select the method, they need to click on 'Continue' to submit the application form.

Faculty and placement are good in college.

Placements: Our batch had a 90% placement rate, with the highest package being 45 lakhs from Amazon. In the 4th or 5th semester, the college arranged internships for us. Many companies, including Infosys, TCS, and Amazon, came to the college for recruitment.

Infrastructure: Amity University has good infrastructure and a good environment. All the facilities are available, including Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and a library that is open 24/7. The food provided in the canteen is good, and medical facilities are available for students. Additionally, the university provides sports and games facilities.

Faculty: The teachers are fully qualified and very helpful. The semester exams are not too difficult. Our teacher will give us a set of questions that are similar to what will be on the exam. If we study those questions, we should be able to pass the exam. The passing percentage is 33 percent, and we need a GPA of at least 5 to move on to the next semester.

Other: I am a student at Amity University, Ranchi. I am majoring in Computer Science and Engineering. I chose this major because I want to be a software engineer at a good company. Our college has a very large event called "Mitti Ka Poria."

Timing is not good but everything else is nice.

Placements: In Amity University Ranchi, from BCA, above 60% of students get placed with a good package, where in 2023 a BCA student had the highest package of 44 LPA, but in 2024 they haven't told us what the highest package is, but 30+ out of 60 students got placed, and many of them have gone for further studies like MCA or MBA. There are many companies which came to provide on-campus placement, which are Amazon, TCS, Wipro, Yandex, etc.

Infrastructure: Facilities which are provided by Amity University Ranchi are really worthwhile according to the fees, which are like fast Wi-Fi in the whole campus, well-updated labs for all departments, smart classes with projectors in every single class, and a fully air-conditioned campus with a library with skillful books and research papers.

Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and educated to teach us, and they have industrial experience too, so that they teach us accordingly. Course curriculums are relevant to the current time, like they teach us with real-time example case studies and skillful subjects. Semester exams are a little bit harder, but an average student can get good marks by studying 1 week before the exam.

Good faculty, not-so-good college.

Placements: The placements are actually a kind of scam. The people placed are often from off-campus interviews that the university tends to show as their achievements, but they are off-campus placements. There are at most 50-60 percent placements. The placement cell has some involvement, but not everyone has good luck to get through.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite decent, but at the time I was attending the college, it had a total of 3 campuses which were quite far apart, and you have to spend your money on travel because you don't know when and where your exams or classes can happen. There is no particular hostel facility available for those three campuses. They just refer you to some hostels that are not that good, with food that can cause indigestion.

Faculty: The only good thing was the faculty, who were quite knowledgeable and approachable except for one or two. The curriculum is quite vast, but the faculty members make it easy for you to understand. The exams can vary from moderate to difficult based on the stream.

Amity University - overall honest.

Placements: Around 65% of students got placed. Top recruiting companies are Flipkart, Kotak, Zee Media, Aaj Tak, etc. Internships are for everyone, but they are not in very good companies. Reporter and anchor are some top roles offered in our course. The highest salary package offered is 8 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 2 LPA.

Infrastructure: The campus is not very big. There are labs and different practical rooms for different programs and departments. We have a studio for practicals. Other than that everything is okay. The canteen is based on the tender. They give yearly tenders to different restaurants and brands.

Faculty: Our teachers are very helpful and qualified. Exams are very difficult. Our course curriculum is relatable. We got a lot of exposure there. This college makes students industry-ready by providing them with internships on a regular basis but you will get to do internships in the 2nd year.

Other: Our batch is very good. I wanted to do journalism but now I am into PR. Many events are held on campus.

Faculty and infrastructure are well good.

Placements: So, in 2023, the highest placement was 44 LPA by Human Company, which is a Japanese-based company, and in 2024, placement is ongoing. About 28 students got placed out of 60 in BCA, and many of them are going for further studies or starting/continuing their business. So, according to that, the placement rate is good. Many companies like Amazon, Yandex, Infosys, TCS, and many more came to hire in Amity University Ranchi.

Infrastructure: Facilities are given in the campus, such as well-updated labs with new technology and Wi-Fi all over the campus. Currently, the campus is under construction, so there are some limitations. If the campus is completed, the facilities will increase. Currently, the new campus is only given to the new batch, which is from 2024, so I have no idea about that.

Faculty: Amity University Ranchi teachers are well-qualified, and there is no shortage of teachers. They are currently hiring more teachers for teaching, and every teacher has prior experience in the industry or MNCs, so they know how to teach and how to crack any interview. They teach according to that. Exams in Amity are not very hard, but you have to study.

Amity University Ranchi - Good or bad.

Placements: Here placements are very good. The average salary package offered is around 5 LPA - 6 LPA, and the highest salary package offered was 46 LPA. Many brands came here for selection like Amazon. Proper training is given to students who opt for placements like an interview session.

Infrastructure: There are facilities available such as Wi-Fi, and big classrooms according to the size of the class. The library is good. There are 2 canteens which are big enough. Sports events take place on a large scale which helps students to pursue their careers.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful. The teaching quality is pretty average. Teachers provide notes and the syllabus is vast. Semester exams are difficult. Our college has strict rules. So there is no chance of any violation and we have to write long answers. The pass CGPA is above 5.

Other: Our college organises many events and the environment is good.
