AMU BA LLB 2025: Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) is expected to announce the AMU BA LLB Exam Date soon, along with the AMU Entrance Exam 2025 Notification. While the exam is anticipated to take place in June or July, the varsity has not yet confirmed the official schedule. What is AMU Entrance Exam?

AMU entrance exam will be conducted by Aligarh Muslim University for admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The exam will be held in offline mode across selected cities in India. The pattern of the entrance exam varies from course to course. Based on the marks of the candidates in the AMU entrance test, a merit list for admission will be drawn. Counseling will be conducted based on merit and seats are granted for admission in various courses.

The AMU entrance exam 2025 for the BA LLB program will carry 100 objective-type questions from English, current affairs, and general knowledge along with reasoning and aptitude. AMUEE Admission Process 2025

The admission process of Aligarh Muslim University was as follows:

  • Online application – Candidates could fill and submit the application form for the AMU entrance exam OR CUET exam in online mode at the official website of amucontrollerexams.com or cuet.samarth.ac.in respectively. The candidates also had to pay the application fee as per their courses.  
  • Issuing admit card – AMU or NTA issued admit cards to candidates who registered and submitted the application form before the last date. The admit card of AMUEE or CUET mentioned details about the examination, candidates and the allotted test centre name and location.
  • Appearing for the test – Candidates had to appear for the examination at the allotted test centre as per the examination schedule.
  • Announcement of results – The University declared the results for the AMU entrance exam for each course separately. The results was made available in the form of a merit list of qualified candidates as well as waitlisted candidates. Candidates were able to check results on the official website by login.
  • Counselling process – AMU is conducting the counselling process of each course based on merit lists and waitlists. The candidates fulfilling eligibility criteria, qualifying criteria and other requirements will be allotted seats.

AMU Entrance Exam 2025 Application Form

The application form for AMU BA LL 2025 is expected to release soon. Candidates who meet the prescribed eligibility criteria for the BA LLB program could apply online at amucontrollerexams.com. Note the direct application link was also updated on this page.

The step-wise process to apply for the AMU BA LLB application form has been mentioned below:

  1. Sign up with details like name, mobile number, email ID, date of birth, etc
  2. Login using your email and password.
  3. Your Dashboard for filling out the form appears on the screen.
  4. Single Registration is sufficient for applying to multiple courses by a candidate.
  5. Before filling out the application form candidates must have the following ready.
  • Scanned copy of colored Photo with white background, Signature, and Thumb Impression (Left Hand Thumb Impression for every candidate) of the Candidate in JPG format ONLY. The file size of each should be less than 200 KB
  • Email address and mobile number.
  • Online Banking details/Debit Card/Credit Card.
  • Details of qualifying examination

Application fee: Candidates can pay the application fee in online mode through net banking/ debit card/ credit card. The fee varies from course to course and ranges from INR 450 to INR 850.

AMUEE 2025 Pattern

The exam pattern of the AMU entrance exam varied from course to course. However, all the admission tests and the departmental admission tests was held in offline mode only. Candidates had to take the exams in OMR sheets. The medium of all tests was English, except where a question paper was set in a language other than English.

Negative Marking: Incorrect answers resulted in a negative score of 25 percent of the marks allotted to the question. For each correct answer candidate was awarded one mark and for each incorrect answer 0.25 marks were deducted. However, the provision of negative marking was not applicable in the admission tests of PhD and vocational courses under Community College.

AMUEE 2025 Admit Card

Aligarh Muslim University releases the AMU BA LLB Entrance Exam admit card at least 15 days before the exam. The admit cards will be made available under the respective login of the candidates on the official website. Admit cards for the AMU entrance exam 2025 will not be sent by post hence candidates have to download the same before the exam day. 

AMU issue the admit card to appear in the admission / departmental test only to those candidates whose application form, complete in all respects, has been submitted successfully on the Controller’s website on or before the last date of filling. Candidates have to paste their recent passport-size color photograph in the space provided on the downloaded admit card. The photo have to be the same as the one affixed on the application form. 

AMUEE Exam Day Instructions 2025

Here are a few exam day instructions for the candidates who appeared for the AMU entrance test / Departmental tests:

  • On the day of the exam, candidates had to carry their own stationery items.
  • Eatables / Beverages (except drinking water) were not allowed inside the entrance exam hall.
  • The candidates were not allowed to enter the exam hall 15 minutes before the test started.
  • No candidates were allowed to enter the exam hall 15 minutes after the test had started.
  • Handbags / Carry bags / Mobile phones/calculators/watches / any other electronic gadget were not allowed inside the exam hall.
  • Candidates were allowed to use only a ballpoint pen (black/blue) for making entries in the question booklet and the OMR answer sheet.

AMU Entrance Exam 2025 Answer Key

The University releases the answer keys of the MCQ-based admission / departmental tests for BA LLB Courses. The answer keys will be released so that candidates can check their responses, and also raise objections on it in case of discrepancies. The candidates will be provided with an opportunity to challenge the answer keys in case of any doubt in the answer on the website amucontrollerexams.com.

Challenging the answer keys: Candidates are given an opportunity to challenge the answer key online against the payment of a non-refundable processing fee of INR 100/- per answer. The challenge is to be made within 48 hours of the display of the answer key.

Final answer key: If the challenges are accepted then the answer key will be revised and a final key will be revised. Based on the final answer key only, the result of the AMU admission test / departmental test will be calculated.

AMU Entrance Exam 2025 Result

The result of the AMU entrance exam will be released online on the website of AMU, amucontrollerexams.com. AMU Entrance Exam 2024 results will be made available in the form of a list of shortlisted candidates for Interview / GD / Counselling, as well as, the lists of those selected for admission will be displayed on the notice boards of the concerned Department / Faculty / College / Centre / Proctor’s Office / Controller’s website. 

The exam authority will prepare three lists - form selection, chance memo, and special category lists. 

The AMU entrance exam 2025 results for various courses will be announced on the same dates for undergraduate and postgraduate courses. 

AMU Entrance Exam 2025 Counselling

AMU BA LLB 2025 counselling schedule will be made available on University's official website, amucontrollerexams.com. AMU BA LLB counselling registration will begin soon after the result is announced. AMU counselling is been held in online mode as per the counselling schedule. Candidates who are shortlisted for counselling need to visit the official website - amucontrollerexams.com - to register for counselling. The merit list/ qualified candidates list will be published on the website mentioning the roll numbers of qualified candidates. 

The selected candidates will be called for AMU admission. Candidates shortlisted for counseling have to report for counseling and specify their order of preference of Course / Branch / Main Subject / Stream / Specialization / School from among those listed under the course of study concerned as per the notified procedure.

Selected candidates shall be allotted Course / Branch / Main Subject / Stream / Specialization / School on merit, as per preference indicated by them. A candidate who have been selected for a higher preference will have no claim for lower preferences.
