MH CET Law Application 2025 - The tentative dates for MH CET Law 2025 have been announced. The MH CET Law 2025 3-year LLB exam will be held on March 20 and 21, 2025. The MH CET Law 2025 5-year LLB exam will be conducted on April 4, 2025. The application for the MH CET Law 2025 3-year LLB exam will tentatively be released in January 2025, on the official MAH CET Cell website - cetcell.mahacet.org. The application form for MH CET Law 2025 for 5-year LLB course will tentatively be made available online in February 2025.

Q:   When will MH CET Law 2025 exam be conducted?

A:

The MH CET Law 2025 exam for 3-year LLB programme will tentatively be on March 20 and 21, 2025 in a computer-based mode at different test centres. 

The MH CET Law 2025 exam for admission to 5-year LLB courses will tentatively be held in the fourth week of April 4, 2025 in the same computer-based mode or online mode at test centres allotted to applicants. 

The MH CET Law 2025 dates mentioned above were released on the official website of CET Cell Maharashtra with the title "CET Cell Maharashtra" tentative schedule. These dates are subject to revision by the exam authority.

  • Candidates must be a graduate in any stream 
  • Open category candidates must have scored 45% marks in thier qualifying exam.
  • SC / ST category candidates need 40% marks in their qualifying exam to appear in the MH CET Law 3-year LLB exam
  • VJNT, SBC and OBC candidates need 42% marks in their qualifying exam to be eligible for MH CET Law 3-year LLB exam
  • Candidates who have completed their Class 10 or Class 12 or both as distance learning or the correspondence method are eligible for the MH CET Law 2025 3-year LLB.
  • These candidates must have completed their basic education (Class 1 to Class 9) at a regular school affiliated by a recognised national or state board.
MH CET Law eligibility criteria for 5-year LLB
  • Candidates must have passed (10+2) 
  • Open category candidates must have scored 45% marks in thier qualifying exam.
  • SC / ST category candidates need 40% marks in their qualifying exam to appear in the MH CET Law 5-year LLB exam
  • VJNT, SBC and OBC candidates need 42% marks in their qualifying exam to be eligible for MH CET Law 5-year LLB exam. 

MH CET Law 2025 Candidature Type

To understand the MH CET Law 2025 eligibility criteria, candidates also need to know the candidature type, which is one of the factors affecting candidates' eligibility for the entrance exam. 

  • Maharashtra State (MS) candidature type
  • Outside Maharashtra State (OMS) or All India category candidature type
  • Foreign Nationals
  • Non Resident Indians (NRI) / Overseas Indian Citizen (OIC) / Person of Indian Origin (PIO) candidature type
  • Minority category candidature type
  • Jammu & Kashmir (J&K) candidature type
  • Ex-servicemen (wards' of ex-servicemen or defence force members) candidature type

Note: 

  • Candidates who finished Class 10 and Class 12 at an open school or via distance learning but did not have regular basic education from Class 1 to 10 are ineligible for the MH CET Law.
  • Candidates who have completed their basic regular education from Class 1 to Class 10 and Class 12 from an open college, university, or distance learning are eligible for the MH CET Law 2025 exam.

Maharashtra State Candidature / Category Types

For admission to colleges accepting MH CET Law 2025, the Maharashtra State candidature type has been divided into different sub categories. These subcategories have been mentioned below: 

Type A
  • Candidates who belong to Maharashtra domicile (They should produce a Maharashta domicile certificate)
  • Candidates who were born in Maharashtra (They should produce a birth certificate mentioning a place in Maharashtra as their birth place)
Type B
  • Candidates whose father or mother domiciled in Maharashtra
Type C
  • Candidates whose father or mother is working for the Government of Maharashtra or Government of India and posted in Maharashtra
Type D
  • Candidates whose father or mother is working for the Government of Maharashtra or Government of Maharashtra Udertaking (an organisation under the Maharashtra government authority
Type E
  • Canadidates who have passed their graduation from the area related to Maharashtra-Karnataka border dispute and whose mother toungue is Marathi language

How to apply for MH CET Law 2025?

Step 1: Registration

1. Visit the official website of MH CET, cetcell.mahacet.org or MAH CET Portal -portal.maharashtracet.org. 

2. Click on the exam portal link available on the website's home page. 

3. The 2025-24 portal link will redirect you to a new page. Here you need to click on the MAH-LLB/LLB option. 

4. Then, click on the "New Registration" option.

5. Enter details like your name, email ID, mobile number, and select a password. The following deatils are required for MH CET 2025 registration:

6. After filling in all the required details, candidates need to enter their mobile number to receive a one-time password (OTP) for successfully completing the registration process.

7. Create a password to access all details related to MH CET 2025 in the future and enter the security PIN. 

8. Save and proceed to complete the registration process.

9. Upon successful registration, an application number and a unique candidate account will be created.

Step 2: Fill the Application Form

  • To access the form, you need to log in to the candidate account.
  • On log-in, you will have to enter educational, personal, and contact details.
  • Ensure that the data entered is correct and verifiable as otherwise your candidature may be rejected. 

Step 3: Upload Photo & Signature

Candidates need to then upload scanned copies of their signature and photograph. The signature needs to be done with a black ink pen on white paper.

Step 4: Pay the Application Fee

Candidates can pay the application fee for MHCET Law admissions through Credit Card/ Debit Card (RuPay/ Visa/ Maestro/ MasterCard), IMPS, Cash Cards, Mobile Wallets or NetBanking. The application fee to be paid by candidates of each category is as under:

Step 5: Submit the Application Form

  • Once candidates submit the application fee they will be provided with an e-receipt informing about the payment received from their end.
  • Candidates are advised to take a clear print of this e-receipt of application fee payment.
  • After this, candidates can preview the information provided by them and once they are sure that all the information fields are correctly filled they have to click on ‘Final Submit’ button.
  • On completing this step the application process for MHCET Law 2025 is complete.
