October 31, 2022: In order to give students the professional training and enrichment they need to succeed in the pharmaceutical sector, the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Apeejay Stya University in Gurugram recently signed an MOU with the pharmaceutical company Amarant Life Sciences Pvt Ltd, situated in Delhi.

The MOU was signed in order to work together to help students gain the necessary knowledge and skills as well as to serve as an effective example of an industry-academia partnership that can be valuable in the constantly expanding pharmaceutical business.

Through exposure to regulatory affairs and skill development in project management, compliance, documentation, processes, and systems, the partnership will make it possible to share information. The students will also receive training and workshops tailored to certain domains.

September 9, 2022: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Apeejay Stya University, Gurugram (ASU) and Institute for Industrial Development (IID), an incubator run in conjunction with the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises and Samadhan Samiti, was recently inked. IID fulfils its obligations for entrepreneurial development training both online and offline.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed with the intention of educating students in entrepreneurship, skill development, and industrial knowledge in order to produce young people who are prepared for the workforce. The instruction offered by IID will advance students' general development and equip them for the international job market.

With an emphasis on student skill development and enterprise growth, this MOU aims to leverage the shared areas of expertise. IID is concentrated on entrepreneurial development, skill development, and giving industrial knowledge to generate adolescents who are industry-ready, whereas ASU is more focused on its primary area of education.

Both organisations will cooperate on creating online seminars, training materials for the Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP), and mobile apps for the Industrial Readiness Program (IRP). Apeejay Stya University Organises a Special Visit To Golden Stick Old Age Home on World Senior Citizens’ Day

August 31, 2022: World Senior Citizens' Day, which is celebrated annually on August 21 to honour seniors' contributions to society and its citizens. The day provides an opportunity to recognise their contributions, successes, and commitment to both their families and their country. At the same time, this unique day is intended to raise awareness of the issues that affect all elderly citizens.

The Rotaract Club of Apeejay Stya University (ASU), Gurugram, organised "DUA," a unique visit to the Golden Stick Old Age Home in Delhi, in keeping with the aforementioned idea.

Students from Apeejay and Rotaract Club members eagerly went to the nursing home to spend the day with the elderly.

They enjoyed playing games like Tambola and Antakshari together. Everyone had a great time. As a symbol of our appreciation, we also gave away things like fruits, candies, sandwiches, cookies, and liquids that we had brought with us. Additionally, we gave out special presents to the Tambola winners. Rtr. Archita Rath, President of the Rotaract Club of Apeejay Stya University, Gurugram, said, "We had a great time there, talking to everyone and learning how happy we can make everyone with our modest gestures.”

To mark this lucky day, a cake-cutting ceremony was also held. "Visiting an old age home was a rewarding experience. The residents were animated and hummed along with us to timeless tunes. They demonstrated that all we require for a good existence is a sense of love, caring, and community. Every little thing should bring enjoyment to a person. There will be many times in our lives when we feel depressed, but even one small action in the direction of happiness can have a significant impact” according to Ashita Goel, an ASU second-year student.

"It was extremely reviving to see the oldies play in the sports with zest," remarked third-year student Hiya from the BTech branch. They were incredibly lively despite their age. Interacting with them and learning tidbits about their experiences was fantastic.

Apeejay Stya University Announces Admissions For BTech In Biotechnology

March 30, 2022: Apeejay Stya University (ASU) has recently opened applications for its BTech in Biotechnology programme for academic year 2022-23.

Apeejay Stya University's School of Biosciences (SBS-ASU) offers a contemporary course curriculum established in collaboration with the University advisory board, which includes global specialists in industry and academics in the field. Indeed, the course curriculum is continuously updated to reflect the most recent advances in biotechnology research.

SBS-ASU provides 100% placement assistance, as well as merit and need-based scholarships to qualified students. Apeejay Stya University Hosts 3rd National Seminar On Nanotechnology And Medical Devices

February 25, 2022: In cooperation of the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), DST, a statutory agency created by an Act of Parliament, Government of India, Apeejay Stya University (ASU) recently hosted the 3rd national conference on Nanotechnology and Medical Devices. Walter Bushnell and ASG Biochem, two leading pharmaceutical and biochemical businesses, were among the event's collaborators.

Eminent scientists and specialists from the fields of nanomedicine and medical device technologies from throughout the country spoke at the event, offering their opinions on various elements of the business and calling for its consolidation.

Professor Raj S Dhankar, Vice-Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University (ASU), opened the conference by emphasising the fact that India played a critical role throughout the previous Covid waves, contributing effectively to quality medicine and vaccines to meet domestic as well as worldwide demand.

"Availability of drugs at low costs, as well as strong infrastructure, including medical equipment. We have all witnessed and understood the value of healthcare at some point in our lives. We need to make sure there's a level playing field and a strong regulatory framework in this sector", Prof Dhankar stated.

Many faculty members, PhD scholars, postgraduate and undergraduate students used the seminar as a platform to present their relevant research/review through Scientific Poster Presentations on various areas linked to the theme. A group of Jury Members examined these posters both online and offline.

The proceedings of the conference were published as a commemorative book. A total of 75 abstracts were received, with 51 of them being evaluated by a scientific committee based on technological advancements.

During the occasion, the top three contestants in the poster competition were recognised.

Apeejay Stya University Announces Admissions For Bachelors In Journalism & Mass Communication

January 28, 2022: The Apeejay Stya University (ASU) School of Journalism and Mass Communication (SJMC) has announced that admissions for its Bachelors in Journalism and Mass Communication (BJMC) programme, in both English and Hindi, are now open.

The curriculum is intended to assist students in becoming well-rounded media professionals. For print, broadcast, and digital media platforms, it offers rigorous academic and practical training in reporting, content writing, anchoring, videography, and editing. As part of its Mass Communication curriculum, SJMC prepares students for careers in radio, public relations, and event management. Students get the opportunity to study from experienced instructors who have worked in industries such as print, radio, television, public relations, event management, and advertising.

Eligibility: To be considered for this programme, students must have a minimum aggregate of 50 per cent in Class 12 in any subject. Provisional admissions are available for students who will be taking their final exams this year.

For admission, all qualified students must pass a written test followed by an interview.

December 20, 2022: Apeejay Stya University (ASU) School's of Design & Visual Arts (SDVA) is accepting applications for its Bachelor and MA in Design programmes, which last four and two years, respectively. Specializations in Fashion Design, Interior Design, Graphic Design, and Animation & Multimedia are available for both programmes.

ASU Launches Centre For Liberal Arts

September 28, 2021: Apeejay Stya University (ASU) has inaugurated a Centre for Liberal Arts Education on its campus and organised a two-day workshop on Liberal Arts for its academic and non-academic employees, furthering its goal of promoting Liberal Arts and a multi-disciplinary approach in higher education.

The Liberal Arts structure's peculiarity allows students to strengthen their chosen discipline while also pursuing their interests in a variety of other fields and skillsets. The goal of the Centre's establishment is to provide value to students' skill-building activities while also improving industry-academic collaboration.

One of the Centre's primary operational areas would be to provide students with a broad range of knowledge and abilities that encourage critical thinking, critical reading, analysis, and effective communication. The Liberal Arts method would be used by the Center in the design and teaching of courses in all of ASU's schools (departments).

In addition, the Centre would provide students with research and internship opportunities in enterprises, organisations, and allied institutions. On the other side, it aspires to form tight relationships and alliances with businesses and organisations in order to engage them in academic activities.

Sushma Paul Berlia, Co-founder and Chancellor of Apeejay Stya University, who virtually inaugurated the Centre, emphasised the importance of liberal arts in higher education. “We're not talking about certain subjects when we talk about Liberal Arts. In reality, all knowledge is one. Any process is made up of several domains that work together to make it happen. There are multiple dimensions of knowing. “Understanding all of the dimensions is what liberal arts is all about,” she explained.

The inaugural ceremony was immediately followed by a two-day course on Liberal Arts for the University's teaching and non-teaching employees. Prof. Joel Rodney, Dean Academics, opened the event by sharing his thoughts on ASU's approach to Liberal Arts education. He also showed interviews with US firms who talked about how important liberal education is to them when it comes to hiring.

Apeejay Stya University Inks MoU With PhD Chamber Of Commerce And Industries

September 1, 2021: Apeejay Stya University (ASU) and the apex industrial chamber PHDCCI have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to facilitate collaboration in areas such as idea incubation, new product development, two-way knowledge sharing, scale-up & technology transfers, talent development, and others.

It aims to provide industrial readiness, internships, and faculty development programmes, in addition to information dissemination through national and international guest lectures, workshops, conclaves, and seminars. It will be beneficial to students to improve their abilities and knowledge, among other things.

Sushma Paul Berlia, ASU's Co-Founder and Chancellor, said in a special address, "The industry-academia interface has always been a priority area in our approach to education. The Memorandum of Understanding with the PHD Chamber will serve as a formal foundation for combined collaboration between industry and academia to build necessary skills on a path to excellence.” Berlia is also the Chairperson of the Apeejay Stya and Svran Group, as well as Apeejay Education, which operates 24 educational institutions in India.

“Industry leaders' knowledge through lectures, workshops, seminars, and faculty development programs, among other things, would allow academics to have the know-how of industry's requirements and will help in bridging the skill gap,” stated Sanjay Aggarwal, President, PHDCCI, at the MoU ceremony.

Placements: Students who pass their degree with an A grade will be able to be placed. The highest and lowest packages depend on a student's work, experience, certificates, and projects. We offer top companies like Oracle and cloud computing companies. With a 4.3 CGPA, students got the best placements in the best companies. The top role is manager.

Dissatisfied with the infrastructure and faculty, but you'll get placed somehow.

Placements: I'm in my 3rd year and I don't have that much idea about placements but from what I have heard, placements are decent but not very good in my opinion. They will get you a job but won't be a very high-status job. I think my seniors are also doing internships on their own.

Placements: Internships and training start from the first year. Almost all students gain placements, with packages varying from 6-14 LPA, but it all depends on the skillset and experience of the students. Overall, It's a decent college.

Placements: The placement chances are okay, but we have to make our contacts work for a good or better placement. We got an internship in Pathkind Labs recently due to our new CRC. We recently got a new CRC appointed, and he is genuine, and we hope to get better placements.
