General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM)  - Batch of 2023
Offered by Rayat Bahra College of Nursing
    4.2

Really decent college but the hostel curfew for girls is unfair.
Placements: We had a total of 30 students in our batch. The highest package was 6 lacs per annum, and the lowest was 3 lacs per annum. Top recruiting companies were Fortis Hospital, Max Hospital, etc. I guess, 50% of students got into Fortis, 30% got into Max, and the remaining ones didn't get selected.
Infrastructure: The college and hostel infrastructure is good and provides everything needed for a comfortable and productive experience. The classrooms are well-equipped with projectors and sound systems, making it easy to learn, including the library, cafeteria, auditorium, sports area, and park.
Faculty: The teachers were qualified and quite helpful, but the only drawback was the language barrier; most of the teachers had difficulty speaking in English or Hindi. The exams were quite okay, not so difficult. If the exam was of 70 marks, the passing marks would be half of it, that is, 35 marks.
Other: The only thing I disliked the most was the hostel curfew time for girls, like for boys. In the hostel, there was no curfew; they could check in any time, but for girls we had a curfew till 7 pm, plus we weren't even allowed to go out of the main gate any time of the day, but we had to take permission from the main wardens, which was quite unfair.

They give good teaching experience and give good placement options.
Placements: They gave postings in government hospitals, which is a great opportunity, and they have many other tie-ups with other hospitals for placements and internships. A lot of students got internships and placements at this college, and every student should try this college.
Infrastructure: There are a lot of facilities provided by the college, like buses and other things, and they provide hostel facilities, which is the best thing for students from other states, and they give very comfortable rooms to the students and give mess facilities too, and they have good and clean rooms.
Faculty: Teachers are the best, and they teach very well. there teaching method is good, and they give good study material. They prepare you for exams, and they have the best teaching methods; they easily teach you to pass the exams with the highest scores.
Other: I chose nursing because it has a very good scope in India, it is a very prestigious job, and it has a very good scope in a foreign country. I'm so happy that I got such a great course, and I've got a lot of opportunities in government hospitals too.

The college is best for locals.
Placements: For sc/St students the percent is 40% for admission and for general and bc it is 60%. All of the packages were same with additional charges. The tution fee is 85000 with additional charges. The top recruiting companies are aims and Apolo. 65 % of students got internships in the previous year in aims Delhi and many more hospitals. Top roles are general nurse, home take care, portable nurse and many more.
Infrastructure: All the facilities are provided in the campus from apparatus to the all instruments. The campus has its canteen and ground also. Park is also aside to the pathway for the students. Classrooms are air conditioned with AC and has all the digital things used in this modern teaching. I am not staying in hostel so I can't explain it.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and well knowledgeable but the time table becomes hectic for the medical student as the study is not too easy but the teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is making the students ready for industry as they are providing all the practical knowledge we should know about.

Review of Dr. Dayal Singh Memorial School of Nursing.
Placements: Around 80% of students got placed easily. The highest salary package was around 5 LPA, and the lowest salary package was 2 LPA. Around 60% of students got internships. Top roles are offered. They support students in every possible manner and guide them for future.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available within college premises with average speed. Labs, classrooms, and library are regularly cleaned and well maintained. Food quality is average. They prepare different food items on different days and special foods on special occasions.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified, helpful, and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is good, and they clear our doubts well. The course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready. Exams are difficult.
