BDS - Bachelor of Dental Surgery - Batch of 2028

Truth about Genesis Dental College.
Placements: There are no active placements in this college. But we do have a good internship program in the college, which is also necessary for graduating with your degree. You can always go for MS studies or work under a doctor for gain experience. Otherwise, you can join as a staff member in the college itself.
Infrastructure: Great teaching facility, supportive, helpful, and really very great overall. Management faculty is not so good. The hostel is also great; it has nice rooms, a good warden, and the cleaning staff is very good. Mess is downright trash; quality has degraded over the years. Canteen is also good, a lifesaver, to be honest. Sports is not so good; most of the time the ground is not in good condition.
Faculty: All the professors are great and highly knowledgeable. High-quality teaching. Really helpful and supportive. Of course, the course is relevant; you became a doctor who has a great specialization about your jaw. And obviously the exams have a very high bar set up. Moderate level of exam is considered easy. You should get at least 45% to pass.
Other: Small campus life, not much to do around here except for study. Highly study-oriented campus. DJ parties are held now and then for students for their relation. Sports week is also held, which is really fun to attend.

B.Sc. Nursing - Batch of 2026

The college offers an amazing nightlife and has excellent infrastructure.
Placements: I am pursuing BSc nursing and our batch of 2022 consists of 60 students. The package remains the same for most students, as only a few receive scholarships if they belong to minority groups. College follows its own admission system. Once students graduate, they can join the hospital for experience-based opportunities.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available at the college of nursing and in areas like OPDs, but not everyone has access to the passwords. Though individual colleges may lack certain facilities. Hostels are good for some colleges, but for nursing, they are not up to the standards.
Faculty: Although teachers are qualified, they are often egoistic and not very helpful in terms of communication, as they expect students to handle everything independently. If students take initiative, they sometimes get upset about actions taken without their permission. Semester exams are university-dependent, so college does not play a significant role in them.

MBBS - Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery - Batch of 2019
Offered by Government Medical College, Amritsar
3.2

All over, it's a good college.
Placements: Our batch (2019) had a group of 250 students. As medicos, we don't get placements via companies but need to build our CV to work in hospitals after completing a compulsory and rotatory internship in various departments at the same hospital. All students who pass the final year get into internships. The stipend we receive during internships in all government colleges of Punjab is a mere 15,000.
Infrastructure: Being a government college and hospital, the infrastructure is lacking. Although they have constructed two new hostels, one for girls (the smaller one) and another for boys, the overall condition of the college infrastructure is manageable but definitely needs improvement.
Faculty: The faculty is well-educated and well-versed, but during our batch, there was some confusion due to curriculum changes by the NMC. However, this issue has been resolved, and classes are now more clinically oriented. Some teachers are helpful, while the majority tend to be less so.
Other: I chose this course because I was inclined towards Biology from the start. Although I never realized how vast and difficult it would be, it's worth it. I wish there were more facilities at the government college hostels and better utilization and transparency regarding the allocated funds.

The college is very nice and is very near to the city and has a good patient scale.
Placements: As such, there are no package of food in our course and one hundred percent of the students got internship from our college, and the internship is done here in the college only. Students securing more than 75% in 12th grade are given admission here after clearing the NEET exam.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is amazing and it’s surrounded by plants. The lecture theatres are nicely air-conditioned. The departments are very airy and large and have ample space for many patient tackling. The departments are nicely equipped to meet the needs of treatment.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and very qualified. They affect every aspect of this, both radical and clinical concepts of the disease, and help in patient tackling while giving treatment to the patient. The semester exams are conducted by the university, and they are quite tacky.
Other: The college does not provide stipend for the internship, and they make you sign on the agreement that your stipend has been cancelled because the college has provided you gloves and masks.

Gian Sagar Medical College.
Placements: MBBS is a course which gives job security. You will get many job opportunities and nice income sources, with many options to work on. This college is a hub of job opportunities and provides opportunities to grow in your field. Almost all students get placed in hospitals around India and, in fact, worldwide. The starting salary just after MBBS is about 70k to a max of 120k. Also, the income depends upon the experience of a doctor, so I can’t tell much about that. All the students in MBBS get internships. Students after MBBS are recruited as JR.
Infrastructure: Best infrastructure. The hospital and college are both well-built and have best-in-class infrastructure, providing a good learning experience. Fully equipped labs and lecture halls. Clean hostels are there with regular cleaning staff. Classrooms are fully AC and Wi-Fi equipped.
Faculty: Good academic record. Work according to NMC guidelines. Best teaching staff and testing methods. Regular tests not only prepare you for your university exams but for your competitive exams as well. There are yearly exams; these all come under Baba Farid University of Health Sciences.

It is a good college with a good campus and placements.
Placements: 4rth year students got internships in the hospital to learn new things about the course.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. Our college provides all the facilities to students like a library, W-Fi, labs, etc. I am a day scholar but some of my friends are hostelers. The hostel food is hygienic.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and well-knowledgeable. They do practical work for students to provide more knowledge. This course is excellent for the future because nursing has a scope everywhere. Semester exams are good. They conduct exams for the understanding of students.
Other: Our course is under BFUHS. Students have to clear the PPMT test. It is conducted by Baba Farid University. The minimum passing percentage is around 50-55%. Only paramedical courses are provided for interested students in the medical field.
