Q:   Is B.A. at BBAU Lucknow a good choice?

    A:
    {Source: B.A. students & alumni}

Based on the feedback from students and alumni, here's a summary of the pros and cons:

    Pros:

    * Good teaching quality: Teachers are helpful, regular, and punctual, and most hold a PhD degree.
    * Vast curriculum: The course covers various aspects of society, allowing students to gain a broad understanding of topics.
    * Scholarship opportunities: Scholarships are available, especially for marginalized sections.
    * Campus facilities: The campus has a library, hostels, canteen, and recreational facilities such as parks, gardens, and gyms.
    * Placement opportunities: Although limited, some students get internships and job offers from reputed organizations like Tata Group.

    Cons:

    * No direct placement opportunities: The course does not offer direct placement opportunities, which may affect employability.
    * Limited job prospects: The course may not be directly related to industry requirements, making it challenging for students to find jobs.
    * Exam structure: Seminars exams are moderately challenging, but the grading system might not encourage students to excel academically.
    * Infrastructure limitations: Some hostels' rooms may be small, and the department lacks a dedicated building.

Overall, while the B.A. programme at BBAU Lucknow has its strengths, such as good teaching quality and decent campus facilities, it may lack in terms of direct placement opportunities and job prospects. Therefore, students considering this course should weigh these factors carefully before making a decision.

It's essential to note that some students choose this course specifically for preparation towards government exams like UPSC, making it crucial to consider personal goals when evaluating the suitability of this course.

    Good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Very good faculty for public administration, but they have no placement cell to place students. It's a subject beneficial for civil services and helps in competitive examinations. The ratio of placed students is very low, and the university has no good placement cell number.
Infrastructure: Loads of hostels are good, but their faculty is very bad. The management of hostel faculty and students is bad. Overall, it's a good environment. Hostel faculty are not good, and the mess is very bad. The food is very bad, and there are many conflicts between students and staff members.
Faculty: Examinations are held properly, and the university teaching staff are very humble and kind. Courses are comprehensive, and examinations are held properly. So, it is good for studying and extracurricular activities like seminars. Seminars, exams, and viva are done fairly.
Other: In this university, the sports faculty is very good. Sports festivals are conducted, and all-India universities participate.

    A central university of opportunities.
Placements: There is no direct placement opportunity for our course. For the other departments like resource management, agriculture, etc., there is a placement cell organised. The average package can be said to be INR 9 lacs p.a. Summer internships are offered through different associated agencies and are fruitful in enhancing a resume.
Infrastructure: For this department, we have different floors in the library building of the university. There's a fully functioning Wi-Fi and air conditioning system. There are 6 hostels in total, divided equally for girls and boys, each with a separate mess and affordable prices.
Faculty: Teaching quality is very fine. The teachers listen to students and are available at all times to help them out with issues within as well as outside the campus. The curriculum is vast and extremely knowledgeable about current trends in the world. Exams aren't tough, but the grading is.
Other: This course is extremely vast. It's a multidisciplinary subject, so almost every aspect of society is covered in the classroom. The semesters have different courses that allow students to deeply understand a particular topic. The course can be improved by emphasising more statistical data than theory. A lot of events are held. The canteen is open and available. Crowds are good, but they are mostly determined by the type of class you have. The campus is eco-friendly and green; there's a park, a botanical garden, and a rose garden within the university. Scholarship is very good, especially for the marginalised sections. Sports month is celebrated twice a year with team and individual games. There are three prominent student unions: an anti-ragging cell, a common gym for girls and boys, a commercial bank, a storage facility, parking areas, and good drinking water and sanitation facilities.

    BBAU Campus Feedback Story.
Placements: In my B.A. course there is no placement option available because it is just a graduation degree course after completing this course students are eligible to give government exams like UPSC etc. Students are taking this course only for qualifying the eligibility criteria to give government exams.
Infrastructure: In our campus there is a huge library for studies purpose of the students, also there is a Wi-Fi facilities available, classrooms were wide and good for studies. In our hostel the rooms are well organised, the food provide in the mess is not bad, canteen was not so good, there is also a medical health centre available for students, games and sports facilities were also available students are playing daily in the ground.
Faculty: The teachers available in our departments are well qualified, experienced and knowledgeable, the teaching quality was good and understandable for the students. This curriculum B.A. is only relevant to government exams eligibility, it is not making students industry ready. The difficulty of semester exams were quite tough but if the student was taking their classes regularly and making notes properly then it is easy for him to pass this exam. The passing percentage of the exam is 40%. .
Other: I am choosing this course because I have to give UPSC exams in upcoming years for that sake this course is very relevant for me. There should be some vocational training courses were also provided for short term period.

I am satisfied with our course.
Placements: Placements are not much good in our college. Around 40-50% of students got placed in the B.Tech course. Top recruiting companies are Wipro, etc. Our college provides some internships for the B.Tech department in DRM. The highest salary package offered for the B.Tech course is 3 LPA. Our course students go for UPSC.
Infrastructure: There is no specific building at present for our department. Our department building is under construction. The hostel is very good. The food served in the hostel is good. The hostel timing for girls is till 8 pm, but for boys, there is no time limit. Wi-Fi is available 24X7 for students. Our college has a huge and neat library for students to prepare for exams. Medical facilities are available in our college. Our department is in the library, and the librarian scolds us because of the noise. Our college has a gym.
Faculty: All faculty members are very supportive. They support students. They are Ph.D. holders. They are always ready to help us in terms of studies. The HOD of our department went to UPSC Mains for copy checking. The HOD shares his experience. Our department organises lectures from time to time. This course completes half of our quarterly syllabus of UPSC Optional Public Administration. It is not difficult to clear semester examinations. If you prepare well for semester exams, you will be a gold medalist.
Other: Our college conducts many other activities from time to time. I am an NCC student. Students must join NCC or NSS society. Our college provides scholarships to students. Our college conducts different types of ceremonies where great personalities like a secretary of a particular department, or DM and SDM., visit our college. If you want placements, I would not recommend joining this college. If you want to enjoy your college life, I would recommend joining this college. Our college conducts sports and games from time to time. Our team has been gone recently for the AIU level. Our college should provide a separate building for our course.

I am absolutely satisfied with the infrastructure and environment of the campus.
Placements: The placement percentage is 65%. The highest salary package is 8 LPA, the lowest is 2.4 LPA, and the average is 3.8 LPA. The top recruiter is the Tata group of industries. About 80% of students got internships at Tata, Mridula Group, etc. The top roles are HR and senior manager in many corporate sectors.
Infrastructure: Everything is very good. The library and auditorium are in very good condition and are fully air-conditioned. Classrooms are also fully air-conditioned and are of modern technology. Good quality food is available in both the mess and canteen. The mess also has a special menu for special days like Eid.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and qualified. The course curriculum is not that good, but it is fine. Semester exams are of a moderate level. The pass percentage is 87%. Anyone with basic knowledge of the course can pass the exams and can give their 100% to be on top.

Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow, is a better place for students' future.
Placements: The course of B.A. (hons.) public administration in BBAU is good for those students who are willing to join civil services. This course is useful for those who want to know about our administration. The syllabus of three years of graduation is perfect and helpful for any student thinking of UPSC and wanted to take public administration as their optional subject.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. There is Wi-Fi all around the campus. In BBAU, there is a central library named Gautam Buddha central library. It is very peaceful, and there are 3 study rooms for PhD scholars on the 2nd floor, 2 study rooms for graduates and the main library for books. There are 4 hostels for girls and also 4 hostels for boys. There are 24 hours Wi-Fi connection, geysers, purified water, etc., for students. Food available in mess is of good quality. The mess is clean and hygienic. Rooms are not spacious enough for two students in a room. There is also a gym in each hostel and a playground.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful. They are regular and punctual. They help students with their projects and other queries. All the teachers are PhD scholars. Our department head is very helpful, and he takes interactive classes from time to time to listen to our queries.
Other: I am always interested in our administration, so I wanted to know more about the Indian administration. That's why I chose this course which is very helpful for other competitive exams also.
