I am not satisfied with faculty members of this college.
Placements: Placements are average and it depends on your work in Animation. It is judged by our batch teachers as they will provide you with placements. There is no specific placement cell in the animation section. If your work hard, you have opportunities to earn above Rs 20,000 per month. The minimum salary offered ranges between Rs 10,000 per month to Rs 20,000 per month.
Infrastructure: The facilities are not excellent. Our campus is small. Sports facilities are not good. They do not even have cricket balls and badminton rackets. The fee structure is very high, but we are not getting return on investment. The animation classes are not much big as the engineering classes & there are only 3 classrooms : one for 2d, one for 3d and one additional class for all 3 years of Animation students. The computers have cracked versions of software and sometimes they don't work for that we waste time too much. They can purchase license for it through our fees. The graphic cards are not working for the 2023 batch and they are not suitable for game development. I have told the teachers about this, but they said they will fix " it in the future. "
The Wi-Fi service is blocked on the college computers, so we have to use our phones or laptops to watch tutorials or search for imformtion about Maya. The college seems to think we are just going to watch TV shows on the computers, even though we are paying 2 Lacs per year.
Faculty: Faculty is good for teaching. But they tell you only important topics in basic and they don't tell you too much information regarding that topic which can be helpful for students. But some faculty members are exceptions, like our 3d Sir which is Manish Sir they will teach you only 1 time about how to create a spider man model only and then give a video recording of it. If you are unable to make it and tell him, he will not much help to us in detailed what is keys, how he has done again and he said that again watch the video again to detailing know. And also our new teacher Abhilasha Mam which only comes few times in my whole sem and she has only take 10 classes for a subject and in course curriculum 30 classes are mentioned minimum. Infact in whole my sem 30 classes are not arranged for any subject. If you are week in drawing and beginner in drawing, they don't tell your mistakes even in subject visual arts by Gautam sir. There are no beginner guidelines provided by them how to begin and they only say make this thing in drawing book and display image on the projector. There is no daily practice session is provided in our college they only conduct at the time of exam in visual studies. As whole animation is dependent on drawing. If you are new in drawing take BFA degree instead of this degree. As it will give you clarity of art and how to draw very well. Then you can take Masters in Animation. Semester exams are strict and you cannot cheat compared to quiz exams. Exams of Animation are not much hard if you study 5 to 6 days before it is enough to bring good marks with the classes you attend and it is practical field, so companies don't need your marks even it is bad, they need your skills to make their project.
Other: Events are conducted in this college. They bring students for doing decoration of fest and making posters in photoshops. Teachers will cancel the classes to attend fests. The course fee structure is 6.5 LPA. This college has no value for money. If you are passionate about animation take another college because this college degree name-wise works. Not in practical works for animations.
Which is the best college for BBA among LPU, Amity-Jaipur, Prestige-Indore and Birla Institute-Jaipur in terms of placement?
