Review of Government Degree College.
Placements: Students don't get placements in our college. Our college doesn't provide placements and internship opportunities.
Infrastructure: Modern infrastructure is provided in our college, like Wi-Fi, science labs, a library, classrooms with smartboards, etc. Hostel facilities are provided for girls but not for boys. The canteen is not available in our college. It has a small medical room. Sports are not promoted in our college.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, and highly qualified with Ph.D. Teaching quality is very good. The course curriculum is old. It does not make students industry ready. Exams are averagely difficult but the evaluation is strict. The pass percentage is 35%.
Other: I chose this course to gain knowledge. Canteen should be provided in this college.

Bachelors of Arts (B.A.) - Batch of 2021
Offered by Government Degree College, Ramban
3.8

Our college provides good exposure to students.
Placements: Our college did not provide good placements. You had to pass your 12th standard with 45% or equivalent to it to join this college. Every course had 200 students. Internships were not available. You could do PG or whatever you want after college, but this college would only give you a bachelor's degree.
Infrastructure: Our college provided good infrastructure. This college was located in a calm area. It was located approximately 2 kilometers from the Ramban district. Wi-Fi was available for teachers but restricted to students. Labs were available in this college for medical students in fields like physics, chemistry, and biology.
Faculty: Our teachers completed the syllabus on time. They were well-qualified and knowledgeable. There were six semesters and a duration of three years for every course. Semester exams were average. Internal, external, and final examinations were conducted per semester.
Other: I chose this course to pursue my PG in political science. This college provided a better experience in any course. Extracurricular activities like games events, symposiums, painting events, etc., were held.

Infrastructure upgrade and work on bus service is required.
Placements: Not get placement only a degree in GDC Ramban, this college is working on giving placement to students in the future. GDC Ramban is found in the mountains of Jammu and Kashmir. This college did not get any placements or could not provide jobs to students or any placements.
Infrastructure: The library is well maintained. The WiFi service is unavailable. Classrooms are well maintained, and labs are well maintained. Overall, it is a good college at Jammu University, but they couldn't provide hostel facilities to students. A small canteen is available, and sports and games equipment is sufficiently available.
Faculty: 50% of the time, teachers are well-qualified and assist all students with their future plans. Teachers quality is good, and they work hard for their students, but sometimes teachers are not available due to transfer or joining another college at this time.
Other: Making bus services available is needed.

B.A. in Anthropology - Batch of 2021
Offered by Government College for Women, Parade Ground
2.2

Average faculty, infrastructure and facilities with no placements.
Placements: My course was B.A. and no recruiting companies come to the college. So, no one got any placement and most of the students in my batch choose to study further and some started preparation for competitive exams. There is zero chance of any kind of placement.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is available. Infrastructure has improved and classrooms are big and airy. Library is also there but the space in the library is somewhat small. Limited number of students can take advantage of the library at a time. Labs are not of advanced level. They are not well maintained. Hostel rooms are average and the quality of food in the hostel is very bad.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and knowledgeable but some teachers are helpful and some are very rude to the students. Teaching quality is average. Teachers focus only on bookish knowledge. They don't teach anything practically and only centered on the books and theory. Course is quite relevant. It does not make students capable to earn a living but can help if any student wants to go for competitive exams. Semester exams are easy to moderate level but they are lengthy. Pass percentage is 33%. Exams are divided into two parts - Internals (20 marks ) and Externals (80 marks ). These marks can vary depending on the subjects.
Other: I chose the course as I was aiming of appearing in Civil Services exam. It can help you in history, polity etc. I wish the course should include practical work too for example I had history and historical tours should be the part of the curriculum. Various events take place inside and outside the college. But there are no fests. Campus area is very congested and small. It has no ground. Small ground is there which is used by teachers and staff members for parking. College is at the centre of the city. So there are markets in its surroundings and usually there is traffic outside the college. Scholarships are given by government to SC, ST and other minorities. There is not a great focus on extracurricular activities. But various small activities are organised from time to time. Canteen facility is also available but its food can make you sick. It is not approved by any authority. Water coolers run out of water in summers. Toilets are not cleaned time to time.

A great college but still need improvements.
Placements: The students in our batch were more than 600. It was a CBCS course with flexible fee structure. I personally choose the Economics and Political Science subject. There were no placements after this. You can go for further studies and choose your future after that.
Infrastructure: There was no particular hostel for boys but for girls they have. Also the labs were there but not working properly. In computer lab we have more than 15 computers but only 2-3 are working. Similarly in Science labs the work is not that professional. Classrooms are pretty old and sitting arrangement is also the plain with old benches. Canteen looks good.
Faculty: Teachers were somehow fine with it. Though there are many issues between them, which made the disturbances among students and the Principal at that time was also not cooperative. But anyhow now the principal is also changed I hope this makes a change towards the campus life.
Other: Since I live in the same city. So I went for it. The over all study review is not that great but one can go for it for least. You can get scholarships and extracurricular activities are also performed. Ths NSS and NCC are working great and infrastructure is also great of the campus. The fests and events are celebrated with full excitement.

It is the best students are very hardworking.
Placements: Around 70% of students get placements in private and government sectors. The top role in the private sector is managing director. Top roles offered in the government sector are field inspector, in Indian Foreign Services, in Indian Revenue Services, Assistant Commandant CAPF, CDSOTA, CDMA, and in the CDS technical entry scheme. Most of the students in our batch got internships and government jobs.
Infrastructure: The library is so satisfying because it contains Wi-Fi and air conditioners. All the labs are full of equipment. Hostel service is not available. Water coolers at the campus are not working. The college has generators, but sometimes they are not working. The location of the college is beautiful.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and they care about the students. The curriculum includes psychological guidance and counselling is also there. The semester examination is a bit difficult because this college comes under Jammu University, which is one of the toughest universities in the nation.
Other: My aim is to join Indian army through CDS examination and this course cover most part of generals studies. Geography must be added. Sports teacher take all the funds, even they don't give jersey to players and takes bribe for the selecting in college team.
