The IIT JAM 2025 online registration process for admission to the MSc course has closed now. The IIT JAM 2025 exam is scheduled to be held on Feb 2, 2025.
Below are some of the other important Central University of Karnataka latest updates:
- The KCET 2025 exam dates have been announced for admission to the BE/BTech and BPharma courses. As per the schedule, the KCET 2025 exam will be held on Apr 18 & 19, 2025.
- The CUET PG registration process 2025 is open for admission to PG courses, and the last date to register is Feb 1, 2025. Further, the CUET PG 2025 exam will be scheduled between Mar 13, 2025 and Mar 31, 2025.
- The CUET UG registration process 2025 for admission to UG courses will commence tentatively during the last week of Feb 2025. The CUET UG 2025 exam dates will be announced soon.
- The Karnataka PGCET 2024 has concluded with the Final round seat allotment results declaration for admission to MBA, MCA, MArch, and ME/MTech courses.

CUK Fee Structure
CUK fee structure is a combination of a number of components, such as tuition fee, hostel fee, medical insurance, mess and other security deposits, etc. Out of all the fee components, there are a few components that are charged one-time by CUK, however, some are to be paid semester-wise or annually, such as the tuition fees. The CUK fees amount further is different depending upon the course or specialisation selected by the students. Please find the total tuition fee for all CUK courses in the following table:

Q: Does Central University of Karnataka refund fees?

Central University of Karnataka follows the guidelines set by the UGC for fee refunds. The refund of admission fees at the university is processed according to UGC and university guidelines. Once a candidate withdraws from the admission process, the candidature will be eligible for a refund based on the policies in place.
there is a time limit for requesting a refund for admission fees at Central University of Karnataka. According to the UGC norms for fee refund, if a candidate decides to withdraw from the course in which they took admission, the institute shall follow specific time periods for fee refunds. The refund percentages are as follows:
100% refund if the application is withdrawn 15 days or more before the last date of admission.
90% refund if withdrawn less than 15 days before the last date of admission.
80% refund if withdrawn 15 days or less after the last date of admission.
50% refund if withdrawn 30 days or less, but more than 15 days, after the last date of admission.
No refund if withdrawn more than 30 days after the last date of admission

Review of Central University of Karnataka.
Placements: There are placements for other courses offered, but there are no placements for geography and geology departments. For other departments, they provide quite good placements. But, for the geology course, you have to give the GATE exam to secure job opportunities.
Infrastructure: Hostel facility is good, but food is not up to the mark. Environment of the hostel is good. University provides canteen facilities that are also good and hygienic. Students can eat and enjoy food from outside the hostel. Sometimes, they also provide good food that we can eat.
Faculty: Exams are conducted semester-wise, which range from easy to moderate in difficulty. Students can easily study and crack the exams. Surprise tests and internal tests are conducted to check our knowledge and how much we have studied, so we can stay in regular touch with our books as well.
Other: Scholarships and quota reservations are available for students. Fests and extracurricular activities are also conducted at regular intervals.

It's not that bad option for a degree, really good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: I was a student of BSc PCM 2021-2024 batch. The truth is none of my classmates got any placement through the campus placement cell. The placement cell mainly focusing on MBA students. Almost the students in my batch decided to go for post graduate studies.
Infrastructure: It's a 2009 established university. There for the facilities and the infrastructure are really good. 24/7 available WiFi in classroom, library and hostels. Library available from 9 AM to 9 PM. Hostel rooms can accomodate 6-10 students in a room. There will be 2 common washrooms are available in each floor. And I'm really disappointed about the mess food. Many students have got health issues due to having food from mess.
Faculty: I have studied a triple main course. Therefore teachers of these three subjects have to come to our department for teaching us. Physics department have really good teacher who knows the subject very well. Maths department also have good teachers . But the chemistry department is really kind of disappointment. We have got all the facilities are contractual. And some of them don't know anything about the subject.
The syllabus is not that hard. And the exam question papers are prepared by our teachers only. And 40% should get to pass the exams.
Other: I was really confused about the subject to choose for my career .That's why I choose triple main course. Therefore I can take time and find out which is my favourite and can go for post-graduation in that specific subject. What I was really enjoyed during my campus life was the fest. Each department would conduct a fest every year. That's really fun and joyful. I really enjoyed time with my friends.

The lowest ranked Central University.
Placements: They're not providing placement for every school. Only management and engineering department students have the opportunity to grab a job through the university placement. Last year, only 20 students got placed. If we compare other colleges' packages, it seems very low compared to others.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is also of poor quality. The classrooms are okay, and the whole classroom has centralized AC. Wi-Fi is also there. But the library is not sufficient for the university's strength. There is no other reading space other than the library. Library timing is 9 AM to 9 PM. Only basic medical facilities are provided at the health center.
Faculty: The curriculum and faculty are just okay, or average. Exams are too easy, and more students can easily qualify for their pass percentage. But the exam fee/semester fee is too high. There's no fee relation for other backward people or merit students. They're not providing any material.

Central University of Karnataka Review.
Placements: In the MCA program, the total number of students was 33. Out of 33, 4 were placed at TCS, with the highest package being 7.3 LPA and the lowest package being 3.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS, some banking companies for MBA students, and (there are) mostly teaching posts. The overall percentage of placement is good.
Infrastructure:
In the whole department, there is Wi-Fi facility, labs, and AC classrooms. The quality of food in the mess is okay but not up to the mark. Hostel rooms are good; full Wi-Fi facilities are there. Medical facilities are okay; one university health center is there.
Faculty:
The faculty in my department are the worst; they come and open their systems and read slides only. They are not updated. The syllabus is also old in my department. But they conduct examinations on time, and they publish results on time. It is not that difficult to score good marks.
Other:
I got a seat there through CUET-PG, and I was planning to do an MCA; that's why I chose it because it's located in an IT hub near Hyderabad, Pune, and Bangalore.

My Life in CUK: Satisfied to an Extent but at the Same Time Dissatisfied
Placements: Almost 95% are placed somewhere in accordance with their specialization area under the course. The lowest package could be 15,000, and the highest could be 60,000 or more. The three specializations have different recruiters and top institutions. Almost all students were placed in internships in both the 3rd and 4th semesters. Roles include Ph.D. positions, corporate jobs, NGO collaborations, project managers, and more.
Infrastructure: The facilities are average. There are classrooms with projectors, smart learning options, and Wi-Fi connections. However, the library facilities are poor due to short library hours. The library closes at 5:30 PM, and this is when we could issue books, as it remains closed until 9 PM, which is also the hostel timing. Hostel life is poor, with low-quality food and poor accommodation. The hostel timings are rigid. The canteen is a relief from the mess food. The health center is well-equipped with paracetamol and O2 for student issues. Sports and games are given importance, with a ground for various sports and a gym for athletes. There's also a multipurpose hall for indoor games.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and helpful, with 3 professors, 3 assistant professors, and 2 contractual faculty members. Their teaching qualities are good. The course curriculum is partially relevant, as fieldwork experiences are lacking. The course should prioritize weekly fieldwork, but there is no such practice on campus. The semester exams are easy, with an average pass mark around 25%, though I am not sure.
Other: I am interested in working in social work, especially in an industrial setting. I would like to prioritize fieldwork and internships. There are many events, with 20 departments each conducting a fest every month. An annual cultural and sports competition is held among the 6 schools under which the departments are organized.
