Satisfied with our faculty members but I don't like the university paper checking.
Placements: About 70% of the students get placed on campus. The highest salary offered was 44 LPA, the lowest was 3 LPA, and the average salary was 5.4 LPA. Some of the companies that visit our campus for placements are Wipro, TCS, Microsoft, Accenture, Amazon, and Infosys. Our college provides many types of internships, and many students enroll in them. The internships provide students with technical, aptitude, and reasoning skills, as well as interview skills.
Infrastructure: Hostels provide shared and deluxe rooms, study areas, and Wi-Fi. The mess serves simple meals with an emphasis on hygiene. Application for a hostel is through the admin office and requires forms and fees. Hostels promote community but require personal discipline.
Faculty: The faculty in our course are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Most adopt interactive and student-friendly teaching methods. The curriculum is relevant, covering core concepts and practical aspects that align with industry standards, though some updates could make it more robust. Semester exams are moderately challenging but manageable with regular study, as they test both conceptual clarity and practical knowledge. The pass percentage is relatively high, indicating that most students perform well with consistent effort.
Other: I chose B. Tech in CSE because I'm interested in technology and coding, and it opens up many career opportunities. The best thing about the course is that we get to work on real projects and learn skills that companies look for. However, it would be great if there was more focus on new technologies like AI. My batch is full of motivated students, and we all support each other. We have events like tech fests and cultural programs that help us learn and have fun. The campus has a friendly vibe, and there are lots of clubs for things like coding, arts, and sports. The campus is easy to get to with good transport options. There are also scholarships for students based on performance or need. The surroundings are calm, but having more places to relax and hang out would make it even better.

Infrastructure and placements are good.
Placements: In Bhilai Institute of Technology, Durg the lowest salary package offered is around 4 LPA-6 LPA. Currently, 60% of students got placed from our branch. Many companies offer placements, such as TCS, Accenture, Flipkart, etc. Many students secured internships in IITs or NITs and received stipends.
Infrastructure: In our college, all labs are fully equipped and every classroom has separate projectors. Wi-Fi speed is also fast in labs and classrooms. The food quality in the mess is not great, but canteen is awesome. There is a separate medical room for any injuries or sickness.
Faculty: Our professors provide proper guidance not only for syllabus but also in other activities. They properly guide students. Course also help students gain practical knowledge. Semester exams are a bit difficult. Passing marks in all semesters is 35.
Other: BIT, Durg hosts Ojas fest which is quite popular in other colleges.

B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2023
Offered by RSR Rungta College of Engineering and Technology

Review of Rungta College of Engineering.
Placements: A lot of students—about 60%—were placed in the department. The highest was 10 LPA and the lowest was 3 LPA. Infosys, TCS, Cognizant and Wipro were the top recruiters. There is no help provided by the college for internships. It is upon the students potential to secure an internship opportunity .
Infrastructure: Classrooms are pretty decent. They have not been renovated in a while but are just right. Labs have all-up-to date equipment but are not sufficient. Library is also very good and has a variety of books. Wi-Fi is available for students in the hostel and library.
Faculty: The only good part of the entire college is the faculty. The teachers are fairly qualified and supportive. The teaching quality is also satisfactory. The course is prescribed by CSVTU but is not relevant at all. And it is not sufficient to make students industry-ready. Semester exams are fairly competitive and the pass percentage is 70%.
Other: Campus life needs to be improved a lot. There are a lot of rules imposed on students. More internship opportunities should be given to students. Events have to be increased and made a lot more fun. It has very few events and those too are not at all enjoyable.

Reality about Government Engineering College Bilaspur.
Placements: The percentage of placement is too low as compared to any private colleges and even TA is not given properly. The basic package of 3.5 LPA is provided, and 18 lakhs is the maximum package. I will not recommend it. If you have money, go to private colleges because they are good.
Infrastructure: Facilities are not supportive, and infrastructure is the worst. Water falls from the ceiling in the rainy season. Even some rooms of hostels are not used because there is rain in the room and they are not available to live in. The hostel capacity is too low, and the mess food is decent.
Faculty: Checking is the worst. Even if you write the answers, they will fail you based on their interest. They don’t check your content; they will check how many pages you have written. Because of that, the checking is the worst. I haven’t seen this kind of checking ever in my life in college.
Other: I chose this course because I want money, and I thought that this course will definitely give a good future.

I'm unhappy with placements, but happy with the college memories and fun we had.
Placements: Sadly, placements aren't as great as I expected while joining the college. Placements are very low and even offering very low salaries i.e. Rs. 20,000 per month. I'm not satisfied with placement factor of our college.
Infrastructure: We have many things in our college. Our college is huge, to be honest, and has a library, and grounds. We sit and eat lunch and breakfast on the ground during winter. Our college also has a hostel for both girls and boys, but I didn't enroll in a college hostel as I got admission during COVID-19 times and at that time college hostels weren't open.
Faculty: Teachers are good and qualified. They explain the concepts clearly, which helps in understanding the subjects. However, the only problem is with note-making. In schools we had books and here we didn't require books as everything was provided in PDF. I would still recommend purchasing books, as it helps in last-minute revision.
Other: Friend circle is the most important thing to be in college as that only decides how your 4 years will be. To be honest, at first, I wasn't sure how or with whom to make friends, but when I look back all my memories have been great and will always be cherished.

Satisfaction due to poor guidance.
Placements: Placement scenario is decreasing day by day. Cognizant and Accenture are the two top companies which give good packages and recruit people. But the percentage of students getting placement is below 60%, and the development as well as guidance is not so good.
Infrastructure: I took Computer Science in Artificial Intelligence, but the college is much more like a school. You have to come to college and attend boring classes; there is no time for side coding or skill development. If we bunk classes, then they will call the parents. The girls' hostel is out of the campus, 2 km away. There is no facility for traveling as well as very poor infrastructure of the hostel. Even hostel food was good when I was in the 1st year, but it is now very downgraded.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and friendly, you can ask doubts whenever you want to. But they use old teaching style, which makes the class very boring. The course curriculum is up to the mark, not so good but not bad as well. Students have to spend extra time to build skills as not much industry-ready guidance is provided.

Q:   Is B.E. / B.Tech at CSVTU Bhilai worth the investment?

A:
{Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

Is BE/BTech at CSVTU Bhilai Worth the Investment?

Based on the feedback from students and alumni, here's what we've gathered:

Infrastructure and Facilities

* The college has good infrastructure, with newly renovated buildings and modern amenities like Wi-Fi enabled computer labs and libraries.
* Hostels are available for both boys and girls, with access to Wi-Fi and medical facilities.

Faculty and Curriculum

* Teachers are helpful and knowledgeable, ensuring that every topic is covered in class.
* The curriculum is well-planned and structured, focusing on practical knowledge and laboratory experience.
* Faculty members are qualified and experienced, with many pursuing PhD degrees.

Placement Records

* While the college doesn't have a placement record yet (since the first batch hasn't graduated), it has signed deals with MNCs to provide placements for 100 students per year.
* Internship opportunities are available, with companies like Elewayte offering internships to students.

Campus Life

* The campus is currently under construction, but once complete, it promises to be state-of-the-art.
* Whole campus is Wi-Fi enabled, allowing students to connect and use unlimited data for studying.

Pros and Cons

While CSVTU Bhilai offers good infrastructure, faculties, and potential internship and placement opportunities, it lacks a solid placement record since its inception. Additionally, hostel facilities are still being developed.

Conclusion

Whether or not the BE/BTech programme at CSVTU Bhilai is worth the investment ultimately depends on individual preferences and priorities. However, considering the positive aspects mentioned above, it seems that the college has made significant efforts to provide a good educational environment and opportunities for growth.

Here's a summary of key points to consider:

* Good infrastructure and facilities
* Knowledgeable and experienced faculty
* Well-planned curriculum
* Potential internship and placement opportunities
* Limited placement record due to newness of the institution
* No hostel facilities available currently

Keep these factors in mind when evaluating whether CSVTU Bhilai is the right choice for your education and career goals.
