B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) - Batch of 2021

Our university has good growth and is still developing.
Placements: At present, there are almost 660 students in the university including the five B.A., LL.B., and LL.M batches. Since the university was established in 2018, there were no placements offered to anyone. The senior batch graduated in 2023. The recruitment drive was conducted in our college in which about 45 students got selected.
Infrastructure: The university is at present running in on a rented campus at Bharat Ratna Bhimrao Ambedkar Institute of Telecom Training, Jabalpur. The university had two cad blocks. There was an adequate number of classrooms and each class had Wi-Fi and projector facilities. Since it is a residential university, there were three hostels. There were two hostels for boys and one hostel for girls. Hostels were in better condition. Wi-Fi was available in each wing and corridor. Each of the hostels has badminton courts inside it. There was a ground of around 450 m in which other sports were organised. The food was served by caterers for which tenders were floated by the mess committee run by students.
Faculty: Teachers were well-qualified and had good knowledge of their subjects and other subjects. They were student-friendly. The course curriculum was prepared according to the relevant present situation of the social, political, and economic problems. Every semester, two exams were held, which were the mid-semester exam and the end-semester exam. The pass percentage was 50% for both exams.

Come to this college only if you can afford a high fee with substandard facilities.
Placements: Anyone cannot make a claim regarding the job prospect and placement because the first batch of our college students has not yet been out. Although the college has a placement and internship cell that aids the students in finding internships with various advocates and the state legal service authority.
Infrastructure: You shouldn't expect much from the campus considering that the university is currently functional from a rented campus. We have air-conditioned classrooms with projectors. Although reading rooms and e-library suffice our purposes, the college library has to be expanded. The sports facilities are not very excellent. It includes a poorly maintained cricket field, and chess, carrom, table tennis for indoor games. Our hostels are properly maintained by staff members and hostel supervisors who are very friendly with the students. Students are provided with one bed, one table and chair, three almirahs, fans and coolers in each room, and two windows in each room to ensure adequate air circulation. The college also offers VIP rooms which are more expensive than normal rooms and have air-conditioners. Hostels are reasonably priced at Rs.37000 per year. If you are doing an internship in Jabalpur, you are allowed to stay in the hostels during your internship. The college has a dispensary and a physician is available there from 10 AM - 5 PM. Apart from this, there is an ambulance facility for 24/7. Talking about mess, reviews of students changes according to their previous food habits.
Faculty: According to the college brochure, the current student-faculty ratio is 21:1. Law faculty members are highly qualified and have extensive experience in their respective fields. The majority of our faculty members are graduates from various top national law universities. The most amazing aspect of DNLU is its teaching staff. The professors are extremely friendly and willing to assist any student who approaches them. Every semester, there are two exams namely, the mid-semester and the end semester. Since this is a national law university, it maintains a standard of question papers.
Other: Since this was the first semester after lockdown we could not do many events and fests. Students arranged a college reopening party and a Holi celebration was also there. Two-three clubs have been created but they are not very functional. I am sure that these clubs will become more active. The crowd is good and you can find seniors who are very helpful easily. Campus is surrounded by greenery and since our campus is in Army Cantonment Zone, the security in DNLU is up to the mark. Students can avail various government and private scholarships. There is a dedicated cell in the university for assisting students in getting scholarship. Apart from this, our college also provides financial aid for students who are not getting any scholarship and are facing hardship in paying the fees. But the corpus for this fund is very low than the need.

LL.M. in Business Law - Batch of 2024

3Placements5Infrastructure4Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
Odyssey from layman to lawman.
Placements: A batch of LLM generally consists of 50 students and two courses are offered for the same namely criminal law and business law. Talking of the placements, usually not everyone is interested in the same as many people want a career in judiciary, academia and advocacy too, but those who want a placements offer, do get placed. As a matter of fact usually not very lavish placement packages are offered to freshers PAN India due to the requirement of the profession but with time the money increases exponentially with efforts.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure includes all the necessary civil amenities required for law professionals like WiFi, moot court halls, smart classes, library with ample of books, desktops, and subscribed law databases. For hostels, there are chairs, table, almirahs, coolers, fans, laundry room, TT room, lawns, kitchen room and many more facilities available. Talking of the mess, the quality of food can be improved but the variety offered in every meal is appreciable.
Faculty: The faculty is commendable because of them being experienced, specialist, approachable, enthusiastic and young. Exams are conducted twice in a semester with assignments. The semester also includes mandatory internships. Pass percentage is more than 50%, but it’s very doable and easy to score 50%. All this is very useful for the student when faces the real world of professionals.
Other: I wanted to pursue this course because law fascinates me and I wanted to proceed with a research degree after my graduation. There always is a room for improvement in everything and I certainly think that more specialised courses could be offered by the institution. The campus is lively because of the crowd and the events are organised every now and then including sports fest, annual fest, concerts, DJ nights, national celebrations and many other countless things. The campus is surrounded with greenery and is well connected with the main city. Talking of the scholarship, all the students eligible for the national and state scholarships can avail the same provided the student getting the benefit of those aids deserves it.

It is a new college with lot of potential.
Placements: So right now, our 5th-year batch has not yet passed out so we can't say much about placements. But after this batch passes out, we will have the opportunities for sure. Internship is also mandatory by placement cell after every semester. If you are from Madhya Pradesh and want to do judiciary and litigation, it is the best choice for you.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is rented but the new campus will be ready in 1-2 years. The location of the college is very good where the rented campus is situated. All the basic facilities are provided in the hostel. You will get 2 students accommodation in our college hostel.
Faculty: Faculty members are well educated and very good in our college. We also have visiting faculty members who come on a monthly basis. Course curriculum is according to BCA rules.

It has highly motivated students and faculty who are keen to take the college to greater heights.
Placements: We have a student-oriented Internship and Placement cell (IAPC) in our college which looks after internships and placements. As the college was established in 2018 only, the founding batch is yet to be passed out, so there are not any statistics available about the placements. But the IAPC has been working actively to secure student internships. We are given an internship break after every semester and in the first internship break of our batch, almost every student from our batch has secured an internship.
Infrastructure: The college is currently functioning in Bharat Ratna Bhim Rao Ambedkar Institute of Telecom Training (BRBRAITT) located in South Civil Lines Jabalpur. The college has been allotted 120 acres of land to develop its campus but the construction is yet to be started. There are separate hostels for boys and girls in which twin sharing rooms are available. The academic block and hostels both have Wi-Fi facilities.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are highly qualified, knowledgeable, and helpful. In these tough times, classes have been conducted in online mode but despite this challenge, the learning has not been compromised. Every teacher adopts its method to make the class interactive and encourage students to clear their doubts in the class itself or through mails. The curriculum adopted by the college is appropriate and makes students ready for the challenges they face in the legal profession as it does not only revolve around the books but also includes writing research papers and internships every semester.
Other: DNLU has various research centers and committees including the charm of law schools, moot court committee in which students can join according to their interests. The college also conducts Justice G. P. Singh memorial national moot court competition annually.

Faculty is good and supportive, infrastructure is work in progress, placements will be known.
Placements: Since this is a newly established university, there is no knowledge about placement. But since it is National Law University, no doubt the placements will be great and will be known soon when the foundation batch will be placed. The foundation batch will places in 2021, that is, this year.
Infrastructure: Our NLU has the biggest campus of 120 Acre and is currently under construction and surely it will be a modern infrastructure as per today needs. It will have a gym, sports room, modern facilities like Wi-Fi, canteen and so more. Hostels will be great too.
Faculty: Faculty is great and experienced. Every faculty has some experience and almost every teacher has an experience of teaching at National Law University, the syllabus of the course is well drafted, only issue the students face is regarding study material.
