It has good faculty but poor network, and it needs better infrastructure.
Placements: There are no placements in MBBS. All the students passing from our college can join as junior residents in any medical college, and a few of them have cleared PG right after their internships. The internship is compulsory in MBBS. A lot of students are JRs in various hospitals of Delhi, even in AIIMS.
Infrastructure: There is no good Wi-Fi facility. A bare 34 MB is given to each student, and you can't have your personal Wi-Fi installed. The library has a limited number of books, although I am paying a sum of 1.5 Lacs every year for it, and you can't issue a book more than 3 times. The classrooms have AC. Even during internships, you have to share a room. For single rooms, you have to pay 30,000 extra per year. The food in the mess is good. We have a canteen and a food court that offer better food quality and quantity-wise. There is a gym for girls in the hostel and for boys in the hospital. Girls have to be strictly in the hostel by 7 pm and are not allowed to go outside the campus without prior permission from the warden. The washrooms are inadequate, and out of 4 corners, only alternate ones on each floor have the geysers. Cooking is strictly prohibited.
Faculty: The teachers are really helpful and qualified. The quality of teaching is really good. Mostly, the heads of all the departments are retired heads of renowned government colleges. The teaching pattern is according to the course prescribed by NMC. Except for one or two students due to personal reasons, most of the students can pass their exams. The semester exams are a bit difficult as they should be.
Other: MBBS is my childhood dream, so I chose this. I will become a doctor by the end of this course, and that is my ultimate goal. I wish for a better hostel and college and campus life. There should be some breathing space given to students, especially girls. The campus is quite small, and Wi-Fi would have been a boon in this rural setup because there is no network mostly. There should be scholarship programs for meritorious students. More extracurricular activities should be promoted and organised.
