College of Technology Pantnagar: Details about Infrastructure, Placements and College Life.

Placements: IT companies like TCS are the main recruiters. Very few core electrical companies like Maruti Pvt. Ltd. , John Deere etc come for placements. The average package offered is less than 4 lakh p. a. Yes there is a dedicated placement cell in the college where students do not have much part to play. The placement cell doesn't take advantage of the wide Pantnagar alumni base for placements which could have been very useful.

A good college with the potential to do better.

Placements: The placements for our batch and senior batch were moderate. A few companies visited the campus and hired almost all the students of the CS department. Although there are only a few options available here, the opportunities are great considering the fact that we are freshers. The minimum salary was around 3 LPA. Companies like TCS, Tech Mahindra and Birlasoft were among the recruiters.

The curriculum and faculty were not at par with the expectations from today's education system.

Placements: TCS hired almost 80% of the students and also offered the highest salary package of 3.3 LPA. Another company was Webkul, Noida. These were the only two software companies that visited the campus that year. Our college didn't provide on-campus internships. Students arranged internships on their own.

There is always scope for improvement.

Placements: Very few companies visited the campus for placements. There is a placement cell in our college, but it does not invite enough recruiters. The placement cell should have more student involvement. Tata Consultancy Services was the only mass recruiter that visited our campus.

It is an old campus. Placements are good here.

Placements: Placements in our college are fine. The average salary package offered for the non-core branch is 3-5 LPA. The average salary package for the core branch is 5-7 LPA. Companies like TCS, Hero, John Deere, Nucleus, and Ebizon, etc., visited the campus for placements. This year, the placement was good. The placement cell is trying to invite many more companies for placements.

My experience in the college is good.

Placements: Placement rate is up to 10%. The highest salary offered was around 6 LPA. The lowest salary offered was around 3 LPA. Companies like TCS, Mahindra, etc., visited our college. The internship programme was not available at that time. There was a placement cell, and it was useful to provide us with information about companies.

Review of Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar.

Placements: Placements in our college are not satisfactory. Apart from technology college, they hardly provide placements to others. Students generally prepare for higher studies as on-campus placements are very few or scanty. Technology college does provide on-campus placements, which are good.

Pantnagar - A sinking titanic.

Placements: Placements for our batch were average. A lot of students of our batch got placed in mass recruiting companies. The placement scenario of our seniors was quite similar to our batch. The placements varied with each branch. The placement committee is not at all supportive.

I am satisfied with the college and its infrastructure and faculties but not with the placements.

Placements: The placement was not so good of our branch. Just around 15 % of students from our batch are placed. Maximum 4.8 Lacs per annum package was there and minimum was around 2.5 Lacs. During our B.Tech period companies like TCS, Tech Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki, Honda, Bajaj, century pulp and paper etc. And NGOs like pradaan came. The post offered was of GET (graduate engineer trainee). Yes there is a placement cell in our college. It is efficient because they provide every details regarding the companie...

The college is like heaven, and you only realise it after completing graduation.

Placements: Placements in our college are good, but the salary packages are not according to the students' intelligence. There is a placement cell which provides all updates about placements and companies. The lowest salary package offered is 2 LPA. The highest salary package offered is 3 LPA. Internships during the final year are helpful for students in their future. The stipend offered is Rs. 18,000 for six months. Almost 80-90% of the students got placed.

Review of Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology.

Placements: Many companies like TCS, Nucleus, etc., visited our campus for recruiting IT and computer engineering students. For the rest of the branches, only 3 to 4 companies visited for each branch. But, no company has visited for the students of civil engineering. Almost 100 students were placed in TCS.

The university is very good, but some professors don't work faithfully.

Placements: The university does not invite any company for PG students, i.e., M.Tech and PhD students. I was an M.Tech student, and the university did not conduct any placement drive for my batch as well as for my seniors. The university has a placement cell, and it works hard only for UG placements. The average placement percentage of UG students is about 60%. Some principle recruiters are Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland, Mahindra and Mahindra, TCS, Infosys, Wipro, etc.

I had a fantastic time in the college. There are decent enough placements and infrastructure.

Placements: Most of the students from CS, IT and electronics branches were placed in TCS and similar IT companies. Placements for mechanical students were decent enough as compared to other colleges. But, for the rest of the courses, placement prospectives are very bleak, and students usually prefer to pursue higher studies.

The college has really good infrastructure and humble faculty. Rules are very strict for girls.

Placements: Only a few companies visit the campus for placements as there is no student placement committee in our college, and the entire process depends on the college. Some of the major recruiters visiting our college are TCS, Tata Motors, Bajaj and Maruti Suzuki. In 2016, almost 50% of the students were placed. Most of the students of 2016 batch opted for higher studies, and some of them have joined IITs and IIMs.

There is all-around development at Pantnagar University.

Placements: The placements of the college are not good. Most of the placement opportunities are for people pursuing either B.Tech in agricultural engineering or B.Tech in CS or IT. Hence, I would strongly recommend new students to take up any of these branches here if they are confused about the selection of branch. However, only if they are utterly convinced about taking any other branch up like mechanical, civil, etc., they should take up those. The companies that visit on a regular basis are Hero Motocor...

Satisfied with the college. College is good. Teachers are supportive.

Placements: There is placement cell and it very effective. Packages offered by companies are 4 LPA on an average. Hero, MS hardicon, Mahindra etc. Companies came to college. For civil engineering companies do not come. Only one or two companies come and that too open for other branches. For other branches like ME, CS etc. Companies come I'm a sufficient amount. Overall placement is good.

This university is very much important for the agriculture.

Placements: In this university, some courses had better placement, and some courses do not have better placements. Overall, the placements in my university are average, but agriculture students have better placements when compared to other courses because it is a reputed university in terms of agriculture.

The incredible college, GBPUAT.

Placements: In 2018, there are 63 placements by TCS. Agricultural company John Deere gave jobs to many students in the past years. Tanny pant from our university was offered a package of 40 LPA. A good percentage of people got placed with the good packages, and they are offered the good positions.
