Education and the placement is in a very chaotic condition here, and need a lot of improvement.

Placements: The placements here are very low, and only extra talented students get placed. Otherwise, the placement has gone very down in the Pantnagar. Very few companies come for the placement, and those who come, have very fewer intakes. Most of the students are not placed and struggle for the job after graduating. The placement officer is also very less concerned about this and needs to be changed in order to improve this problem.

Good infrastructure and facilities. Disappointing placements and faculty are not great.

Placements: The placements in College Of Technology, Pantnagar are decent with an average package of 3.3 lacs per annum. The companies like TCS, Polestar, Wipro come for hiring the students. The placements in branches of computer science, IT, electrical, ECE are decent, but in ME, production, civil the placements are very low. Major companies for ME and production are John Deer Tractors, Hero, which takes only 7-8 students every year and gives a package of 6.5 lpa.

The harbinger of green revolution in India.

Placements: The placements are very good for the students in computer engineering, information technology, and electronics and communication engineering branches. Almost everyone from these three branches gets placed. Tata Consultancy Services is the mass recruiter for these branches and recruits more than 100 students overall with a package of 3.4 LPA. Every student goes for an internship.

Professors are very good. Bad placements.

Placements: 40 percent of the total students in the batch of 500 students got placed. The highest package offered was Rs. 5.8 LPA. The lowest was Rs. 1.2 LPA. There are different types of companies which visit the campus. Tata Consultancy Services offers roles to nearly 110 students with a package of Rs. 3.33 LPA.

Decent college. Highly qualified professors.

Placements: Very bad placements. Every student goes for an internship which is not facilitated by the university. The internship is an unpaid one. Out of a batch of 500, only 170- 180 students get placed. The highest package is bagged by mechanical engineering students which are offered by Maruti Udyog Limited, Gurgaon. The package is 5.8 LPA.

Good college, though the placements could be better.

Placements: No summer internships are offered through the college. The final placements are good for a few branches only. Computer science, electronics and communication engineering and information technology branches have good placements. For them, there is a mass recruiter which is Tata Consultancy Services.

This college lags behind due to poor placements.

Placements: Placements are the only thing which is bad about this university. Nobody gets a summer internship through the college. Everyone has to apply through their own sources and yes, those internships are not paid ones. In the final placements, not more than 30 percent of the batch gets placed.

Satisfactory due to well-equipped labs, helpful faculty and the ongoing government initiatives.

Placements: TCS has been the mass recruiter for a few years now and is open for all the branches. Mechanical engineering has decent placements with Honda, Maruti and Tata Motors offering positions. Internships are not something to expect. Civil and agriculture engineering struggle for placements. Biotech has no placements other than TCS (that too are on the low end). Off-campus drives are not common nearby and you have to finish college before looking for off campus opportunities. IT and CS can be promising...

Good college, good professors and decent placements.

Placements: Very poor placements. Only 5 students out of 45 got placed from the production engineering branch. Same was the case with mechanical, civil, electrical, agriculture engineering and biotechnology. Not more than 10 students got placed through the campus placements. However, the placements are good for computer science and information technology branches.

Good professors but poor placements.

Placements: The final placements were pretty decent. There are no companies visiting the campus who offer summer internship. Every student has to apply for the internship on his own. Each and every student in branches like electronics and communication engineering, information technology and computer science gets placed. Placements for core branches like mechanical, civil and electrical engineering are not that good. The highest salary offered is 5.8 LPA by Maruti-Suzuki for mechanical engineering students....

Better but could become the best.

Placements: Opportunities were offered but packages were not that much alluring for anyone to opt for available opportunities. It needs a lot of efforts towards that direction in order to have a scheduled placement calendar for students every year seeking places by some most prominent industries from the FMCG sector.

A platform to explore yourself and acquire new skills.

Placements: Generally, students go for Masters. But still, many prominent organisation visited the campus. And the annual package offered was between 3-3.5 LPA. During the seventh semester of the course, 100% students go for a 2-month internship. Out of which, more than 50% internships are offered by the college itself.

Overall satisfactory tenure.

Placements: The percentage of students placed was satisfying, especially for computer background. The average package was 3 lpa. The number of companies that visited the campus was less. The average package for core branches was 6 lpa. But the number of students placed from these branches was less. More efforts could have been put by placement cell.

Average college, good infrastructure but poor placements.

Placements: Average placements are low in terms of the package offered as well as the percentage of students placed. Companies which hired this year are TCS and Mind Infotech. Most of the students were hired as a trainee. Core companies hardly come. This year, a remote internship program was also conducted by TCS.

Absolutely satisfied because of good faculty, infrastructure and placements.

Placements: As it is one of the best state government colleges, placements are quite good. Maximum of the students get placed reputed companies like Hero, Escorts, Mahindra, TCS and many others. Highest salary offered was around 9 lpa. 80% of students get placed. Average package is around 4.5 lpa.

If not excellent then not too bad. Good experience gained to flourish in any field as an engineer.

Placements: The placement standard is on a downward side as compared to previous batches. Percentage of placed student before 4-5 years was almost 100% but now it has decreased to 40%. Very few companies came to the college, as the standard of college has not remained as earlier. 6-7 lakh is the max offered salary but very few (almost 1-2%) students were offered placement by companies like Tata Motors etc. The rest are placed in IT companies like TCS, Tech Mahindra. However, in 2016 only TCS was the only na...

Overall, College of Technology is one of the best colleges in Uttarakhand.

Placements: TCS visits the college campus every year which is also the mass recruiter for the students. This year's highest package is provided by John Deere which is 5 LPA. However, most of the students get placed easily in TCS. 2 years ago, Nucleus and last year, Amazon also visited the campus. Overall, placement is average for CS/IT students. Meanwhile, for Agricultural Engineering students, companies like Mahindra and Escorts provides a very good package of 6 LPA.

The college has a very big campus and is surrounded with fields for research. The campus is surrounded by industrial area. It is good for walking and for health perspective and the scenery is beautiful. Labs are available but are not well maintained neither the faculty is well trained. It is good for IT interested students, but students from core branches have to struggle a lot. The main professors are very minded and supportive in core branches but not in IT branches.

The positive part is that the college environment is very good for people who can study themselves. This government university is good but needs some major improvements like class infrastructure, placement cell and a few teachers who really do not have knowledge about the subject . The classes should be more managed and should be of good infrastructure. The placement cell of the college does not really care about the student's career and a few teachers do not show any interest in teaching, all y...
