GBPUAT is a college of technology. It's review.

Placements: The placement rate is very low except for the computer science and the agricultural engineering. In my batch, only 4 students are placed out of the 45 students. For the mechanical and the production engineering, only two companies came which are Hero Motocorp and Bajaj Auto. The salary package offered by them is Rs. 6.5 LPA and Rs. 7.2 LPA respectively.

The university is increasingly losing its charm and credibility.

Placements: Very few companies visit the campus due to less interest in students regarding the placements. Most of the students are interested in higher studies and do not take placements seriously either. The major recruiter for our batch was TCS which hired more than 150 students and mainly candidates appearing for this company were from IT, computer science, and electronics and communication branches. For the core branches like mechanical, electrical and civil, placements are very poor with major recruit...

Take admission only if you want to get away from the city life.

Placements: Placements were not good this year as compared to the previous year. Around 30 to 40 % of the batch was placed. Highest package offered was 6.5 LPA and the lowest offered was around 3.5 LPA. Companies that visited were TCS, John Deere and Bajaj. Roles offered were of a web developer and a coder.

Travesty and tragedy of my journey and graduation in engineering.

Placements: The placement record is weak and the average placement is very low. Mass recruitment companies like TCS recruit from every branch. Students opt mostly for MBA or higher studies while some go for IAS, CDS, AFCAT, etc. The placement team is lethargic and doesn't actively try to lure companies for students.

Although the university covers a large area, most of it remains under agriculture. It is the top-most University for agriculture. But its College of technology suffers from corrupt administration, under performing faculty and poorly equipped labs.

Students should be more abreast of latest developments taking place in today's world. The college faculty disinterested in placements and not really bothered about students' future. Students are really talented but don't get the requisite exposure which is the bare minimum required for a modern day college graduate. Campus layout and architecture is fantastic but placements are a big issue, because the director of placements is not very cooperative and seems nonchalant in dealing with this matte...

I suggest others not to join this college.

Placements: The placement cell of our college is pathetic, and they do not care about placements at all. Almost 50-60% of the students got placements from our batch. Companies were offering a salary of Rs. 10,000 per month in some remote locations. All branches had more or less similar placement scenario. However, some good companies like Hero, John Deere and Escorts visit our college, but the number of students they took was very small. The role offered was a graduate engineer trainee. The condition of pla...
