There are really good faculty members and course curriculum.
Placements: Himachal Pradesh National Law University was established in 2016, and its first batch, which is 5 years duration, will be passed out in June-July 2021. However, there are 4 batches of LL.M, which had already passed out. Most of the students of those batches got placed well and now working as judicial officers or working in corporate companies.
Infrastructure: Our campus is good enough but not good as other top NLUs. Our university has smart classrooms, and it is a completely Wi-Fi-enabled campus. The quality of the library is one of the best things about this university. Our university lacks medical and sports facilities. Presently all the hostels are situated outside the main campus as the hostels are under construction.
Faculty: The teaching faculty members here are well qualified and knowledgeable. Teaching faculty members and the course curriculum are the best things about our university. All the things provided in our university are helpful. The quality of the course curriculum is surely excellent. Arrangement of course curriculum will definitely help students who want to prepare for judicial services or UPSC.

Review of Himachal Pradesh National Law University.
Placements: As the first batch of Himachal Pradesh National Law University, Shimla, has not passed out yet, we don't know about the placements yet. We might know about it in 2021. The course is updated at the end of every year.
Infrastructure: The college is in its initial phase, so the infrastructure is not so good, but the library is in its best condition. Internet is provided in the hostel and college. Food is also hygienic. In terms of academics, the college is very good.
Faculty: The faculty members in our college are exceptionally good, highly educated and professional. They are always ready to help every student. There are certain law reviews and journals published on their names. They not only taught us about law and curriculum but also life lessons.
Other: The college conducts different fests. Various sports facilities are available to play on the campus.

The reality of national law university, Shimla (hpnlu).
Placements: The placements offered by the college are minimal; only 10 companies offered placements last year. The top companies were SVS attorneys, Optimus Legal, and SNG & Partners. The percentage of students getting placed is also minimal—15–25%. The highest ever package offered is INR 18 LPA and the minimum is INR 5 LPA. From BBA to LL.B., at least 20% of students per year get placed. The roles offered are legal internships, and internships are mostly brought by the students and placements are often provided outside of campus; hence, the maximum number of students get internships but not from the college.
Infrastructure: The campus is fully furnished and technically advanced; the hostels and mess are also clean and the quality of food offered by the mess is average and reasonable. There is a library comprising more than 1000 books that is spacious enough. The college and hostels are properly equipped with Wi-Fi and bus facilities are also there. The medical facilities are poor but the sports committee is good. We have opportunities to explore sports as we have a table tennis court, a volleyball court, a badminton court and a half basketball court. The canteen is also average.
Faculty: The teachers are well qualified and helpful, and the teaching quality is good the faculty is young and permanent. The curriculum is somewhat similar to the rest of the NLUs, but its relevance and industry readiness cannot be guaranteed. The semester exams are very easy and the pass percentage is 33%.
Other: The best thing about the course is that it is a 5-year law course, hence saving a year. Also, this course is valuable as it is offered by an NLU. The course could have been relevant to the current legal scenario and ought to have been taught with real-life practical insights rather than sheer theory. The events are very rare, the campus life is not that attractive, and connectivity is bad due to geographical limitations.

Review of NLU Shimla (HPNLU) - Himachal Pradesh National Law University.
Placements: As our university has established in the year 2016, therefore the first batch will be passed out in 2021. So, there is no specific information about placements, salary packages, companies which offer placements, etc. However, students get internships under various advocates, in firms and also under high court and district court judges.
Infrastructure: It is a newly built campus, and it includes separate buildings for different purposes. As the campus is still under construction, there will be more facilities in future. Otherwise, everything which is required is available here, but space might be a bit congested due to the location. However, our college ensures that it fulfils every need of the students. Nearby private properties are being rented by the university for hostels. Bus service is provided from the hostel to the campus. Hostels are yet under construction. The mess facility has been improved in terms of food quality. The library is well-equipped, and the range of Wi-Fi facility is average. Classrooms are a little smaller than normal, but they are equipped.
Faculty: The best part of HPNLU is its teachers who are qualified, and the most important thing is they put efforts as much as possible to pay attention to every student. Their teaching quality is very good, and they are well versed and experienced in their work. The course curriculum is very relevant.
