PTU BArch 2024 Counselling: Dates, Application Form, Eligibility, Pattern, Syllabus

PTU BArch admissions are conducted annually by I K Gujral Punjab Technical University(IKGPTU) through a centralised counselling process. Earlier known as Punjab Technical University, the university does not conduct any entrance exam for admissions to the BArch programmes offered by the participating universities - Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana and Maharaja Ranjit Singh State Technical University, Bathinda. Admissions are based on NATA/JEE Main Paper-2 scores and ranks and a candidate's performance in the 12th standard.

PTU BArch 2024 counselling form will be released online. Candidates will have to register for the PTU BArch 2024 counselling process for allotment into the BArch courses offered by the participating institutes. All personal, academic and contact details have to be submitted. The candidates will also have to pay an application fee of INR 2000 online i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card. The authorities will also accept offline payments done through cash using E-slip at HDFC, IDBI, AXIS and State Bank of Patiala (SBOP) banks. After the final date, no applications will be accepted.

PTU BArch Counselling 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Below are the eligibility criteria for PTU BArch 2024 counselling prescribed by the authority:

Nationality:

• No candidate shall be admitted to the Architecture Course unless he/she has passed an examination at the end of the 10+2 scheme of examination with at least 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and also at least 50% marks in aggregate of 10+2 level examination from a board recognized or established by central/state government through legislation or passed 10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as compulsory subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
• All the admissions will be done on the basis of the NATA examination conducted by the Council of Architecture and marks secured in the qualifying examination are 50:50
• Candidate must be a citizen of India
• Compulsory subjects: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics

Registered candidates will be able to check their merit list of PTU BArch counselling 2024 online. The merit list will be prepared as follows :

• The candidates who have scored ranks in NATA 2024.
• Those who have scored ranks in JEE Main 2024 Paper 2.
• Those who have cleared any other aptitude test conducted on the directions of State Govt. (Ref. Section 4.3 of CoA regulations 1983 which authorize an institution to conduct such test).
• Vacant seats (if any) may be filled based on the inter-se-merit of Qualifying Examination mentioned above on the directions of the Government /Courts.

Registered candidates who are listed in the merit list will be eligible to fill out their choice of colleges for admissions through PTU BArch 2024 counselling. It is to be noted that the choice filling should be done in the order of preference. Since the order of preference will be one of the factors that will be considered for seat allotment, the candidates are advised to be careful. All choices have to be locked before the final date. The authorities are expected to open fresh choice filling for every round of PTU BArch counselling.

PTU BArch 2024 seat allotment result will be declared online. To check the seat allotment status, the candidates will have to log in using the required credentials. Candidates will be allotted seats based on their rank, preferences, category and seat availability. The allotted candidates will have to confirm their admission before the final date by verifying their documents and paying the fee. If the candidates are unable to confirm their admission before the final date, then their allotment will be cancelled.
