Top college of Merchant Navy in India.

Placements: More than 100 students placed in160 batch. Placement is good and the salary is also good. Top recruiting companies are FML, NYK, MOL, PIL Pearland, synergy. Essar, Science, and lot more. Starting salary will be from INR 30,000 to INR 45,000 and then it will go more than INR 2 lacs. It is the best nautical college in India.

Good faculty, Unsatisfactory placements and more focus on practical knowledge is required.

Placements: Unsatisfactory, at best. The percentage of placement was around 35 percent out of a batch of 150. Although most cadets are academically sound, and only a very few of them hold backlogs. The companies prefer to go to the private colleges in the maritime sector, for reasons known only to them.

Read and judge. Placements at an all time low

Placements: The placement generally lies between 15-20 percent of the batch strength. The stipend offered for onboard training both for D.ns and B.Sc guys can be taken on average of 500 USD. Though I did D.ns (stretched programme of B.Sc nautical science) in the year 2011-12, I have completed my B.Sc now and have recieved my degree from Indian Maritime University. D.ns passed out cadets have to do 18 months(3 semesters) onboard training and B.Sc (3 years) passed out cadets have to do 12 months onboard train...
