It is ranked at 9th position by ICAR in all India agriculture universities ranking 2018.
Placements: JNKVV holds a good placements record as a large number of pesticide, fertilizer, seed implements company visit to recruit students. Various companies related to agriculture like VNR Seeds, Mahyco, IIFCO, Dayal Group, etc., visit our campus for placements. Every year a large number of students who pass out from this college get a good job opportunity in such private companies. Other than this, a large number of students qualifies for the banking sector as an agriculture field officer. Postgraduates opt for higher studies or prepare for exams like NET, ARS, etc.
Infrastructure: JNKVV boasts of huge Infrastructure. There is a huge sports ground and also a newly constructed sports complex, swimming pool. There are advanced laboratories for research purpose, especially for students of biotechnology, seed technology, pesticide research etc. There is a huge workshop for agriculture engineering students, which involves a large number of implements and advanced machinery. There are separate hostels for UG and PG students for boys as well as girls. The hostels are well furnished and equipped with facilities like TV, Wi-Fi etc. Students of PG are accommodated in single or double seater rooms. The mess is attached in every hostel which runs on a cooperative basis.
Faculty: The course involves both theories as well as practical credit hours, which are essential for in-depth knowledge of the subject. All the courses offered in JNKVV University follows the 5th Dean's committee recommendation and are accredited by ICAR. M.Sc. agriculture course consists of four semesters out of which first two semesters have classroom course work and the remaining two semesters involves research work. All the courses are taught by dedicated and well-experienced faculty members of the college. Professors are enriched with knowledge and professional skills in their field of expertise, which is essential. Students of B.Sc. agriculture/forestry have to undergo one-year compulsory experiential learning programme to develop hands-on learning and practical exposure to the fieldwork. It involves regular contact with farmers, KVK, etc. They also have to work in labs. Students of agricultural engineering and MBA (agri-business management) have to undergo a compulsory internship in an agrochemicals/seed company. Students are given a suitable stipend for their work. 5th dean committee recommendation is implemented in UG, PG, PhD courses.

    Really good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Placement is good and even better. The highest package for PG was 4.5 LPA last year, while the lowest was 3 LPA. Companies like Rasi Seeds, JK Seeds, IFFCO, and Mahindra recruit here. About 30-40% of students are only interested in internships, and most of them got them. Some also secured government jobs like AO and AFO.
Infrastructure: The hostel is under renovation; for now, the hostel facility is not good. My department is extension, classrooms are decent, and the library is nice, with a good amount of books available. Several messes and canteens are available for students, offering hygienic food.
Faculty: The faculties are well-qualified and knowledgeable, and the quality of teaching is top-notch. My course often offers government jobs, but if someone wants to go for private companies, they also prepare students to be industry-ready. It is quite difficult to pass the exam.
Other: Because it is the top college in MP for agriculture, I got this college according to my choice filling. Everything is good, though there are very few events.
